I was feeling really down one day. I had been working on a project for weeks and
it just wasn't coming together the way I had hoped. I felt stuck and...

This is my first attempt at writing a personal story. It's not easy, but I'm
going to take the plunge, see what comes out. The first thing I feel when I
start is a block. What if I have nothing good to tell? What if my text is not
good enough? Possibly, I shouldn't have to think about who might read this text,
I should probably let myself go and just let out what I have inside, but it
seems to be impossible.

It's natural, writing personal stories means opening up, making oneself
vulnerable in some sense. But we all feel that way. We all feel that if we share
what is inside us we are making ourselves weak in the eyes of others. And if we
all feel this way, isn't it more logical to share it with others to make us
stronger? Isn't it more logical to share what makes us feel more vulnerable in
order to learn from those who have already gone through the same thing?

Chances are you think you are the only one who has this feeling, this fear,
these tensions, this excitement about something that you think no one else is
excited about. But no. I remember once while out with some friends someone
shared something I never would have imagined saying out loud. To my surprise,
two other friends identified with that experience and suddenly what was an
uncomfortable, taboo topic became easier to discuss. Sharing our stories,
experiences, knowledge, feelings, brings us together and helps us overcome our
complexes.

We are all human, we all go through the very same situations. Maybe not at the
same time, but certainly at one time or another in our lives. Wouldn't it be
great to have a place where you can read and meet other people who are going
through the same situation? Or even better, other people who have gone through
this same situation and have already overcome it?

Welcome to "We: Stories Ch 1." Here you can find a safe space where you can be
your true self, learn from others and share your own experiences. We all have
something valuable to offer the world and I hope you can join this community.

So why not take that first step and share your own personal story? Don't worry,
we are here to listen and learn together!

I sat at my desk, staring at the blank page in front of me. I had always
struggled with creativity, and today was no different. I sighed and leaned back
in my chair...
