According to collective estimates by human rights organizations, more than a thousand people in Russia are currently being prosecuted for political reasons. Hundreds of them are already behind bars — some in prison and others in jail, still awaiting trial. Some are under house arrest, and others have been sent for compulsory psychiatric treatment. We can help these people and their families. Last year, we raised more than €400,000(over $435,000), so let’s do it again. 6789 people have joined the solidarity campaign Unfortunately, it’s too dangerous for people living in Russia to join the marathon. We help people in Russia who have been imprisoned for political reasons, and we assist their families. Your support goes to the costs of food, medicine, legal defense, and travel for prison visits. In some cases, “former” political prisoners can also seek assistance. Additionally, one-time aid is available to persons who have faced political persecution and were forced to flee the country. We will respond within 30 working days. IS THIS SAFE? It’s up to you to decide. It’s extremely unlikely that anyone would find out about your donation, but it’s nevertheless important to be cautious. Supporters receive a single email confirmation from the payment system, and you can delete the message if you don’t need it. Additionally, if you travel to Russia, we urge you to delete any foreign banking apps from your mobile devices before beginning your trip. WHAT IF MY EMAIL OR CARD DATA LEAKS?
