You can start a DPD seven days before your flight, but you must submit it before you\u0026nbsp;depart\u0026nbsp;for Australia. Passengers who do not complete a DPD before departing may face unnecessary delays on arrival in Australia.\u003c/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eWhen filling out the DPD, you will need to:\u003c/p\u003e\n\n\u003cul\u003e\n\t\u003cli\u003eprovide your contact details, including a contact phone number in Australia\u003c/li\u003e\n\t\u003cli\u003emake a legally binding declaration in relation to your vaccination status\u003c/li\u003e\n\t\u003cli\u003emake a declaration about your travel history in the last 14 days\u003c/li\u003e\n\t\u003cli\u003emake a declaration that you are aware of the quarantine and testing requirements that apply when coming to Australia and in the state or territory you are landing and the penalties for non-compliance.\u003c/li\u003e\n\u003c/ul\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eNote: \u003c/strong\u003eBefore you complete your DPD, check all other travel requirements for Australia. You must be able to provide evidence that the critical information was completed before boarding the aircraft. This is an enforceable requirement. A person who fails to comply with the requirement may be liable to a civil penalty (fine) of 30 penalty units (currently $6,660 AUD). <p>All passengers arriving by air into Australia should complete the DPD. You can start a DPD seven days before your flight, but you must submit it before you depart for Australia.
Passengers who do not complete a DPD before departing may face unnecessary delays on arrival in Australia.</p>
<p>When filling out the DPD, you will need to:</p>
<ul>
<li>provide your contact details, including a contact phone number in Australia</li>
<li>make a legally binding declaration in relation to your vaccination status</li>
<li>make a declaration about your travel history in the last 14 days</li>
<li>make a declaration that you are aware of the quarantine and testing requirements that apply when coming to Australia and in the state or territory you are landing and the penalties for
non-compliance.</li>
</ul>

<p>The DPD requests critical health information. You must be able to provide evidence that the critical information was completed before boarding the aircraft. This is an enforceable requirement. A
person who fails to comply with the requirement may be liable to a civil penalty (fine) of 30 penalty units (currently $6,660 AUD). This is set out in section 46 of the Biosecurity Act 2015.</p>
<p><strong>Giving false or misleading information to the Australian Government is a serious offence. If convicted, the maximum penalty is imprisonment for 12 months.</strong></p>
<p>States and territories may also apply penalties in order to enforce compliance with public health orders. This may include COVID-19 testing and self-isolation or quarantine requirements. If you do
not comply, including any requirements after you enter, you may face serious penalties, including jail time or significant fines. Requirements may change at short notice. For more information see

<p>Visa holders who arrive in Australia may have their visa cancelled and be detained and removed if they:</p>
<ul>
<li>are not fully vaccinated for international travel purposes in accordance with Australia's border entry requirements; or</li>
<li>do not have a medical contraindication to a COVID-19 vaccine as defined by the Australian Government; or</li>
<li>are not in an <em>exempt category</em> or hold an individual travel exemption.</li>

<p>Use the free mobile Australia Digital Passenger Declaration app by downloading it from
the <a class="external" href="https://apps.apple.com/us/app/australia-dpd/id1590788781" target="_blank">App Store (Apple)</a> or
<a class="external" href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=au.gov.homeaffairs.dpd" target="_blank">Google Play store (Android)</a>.</p>
<p>If you cannot use the mobile app, you can submit your DPD using the <a class="external" href="https://dpd.homeaffairs.gov.au/" target="_blank">DPD online form</a>.</p>

<p>You do not have to pay for the DPD - it is free.</p>
<p>Before you start your declaration, have the below information ready:</p>
<ul>
<li>flight number</li>
<li>valid passport</li>
<li>travel history (14 days before the flight)</li>
<li>destination and quarantine arrangements (if required)</li>
<li>COVID-19 vaccination record or acceptable evidence you cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons.</li>
</ul>
<p>Each passenger is required to complete a DPD. Parents or guardians should complete a declaration for any child under 16 years of age. Anyone who is 16 years old or over should complete their own
declaration.</p>
<p>You must complete the DPD before you depart for Australia.</p>

<p>A completed DPD does not guarantee your entry to Australia.</p>
<p>Once you have submitted the DPD, you will see a summary screen that you must show (either electronically or printed) to airline staff before you board your flight. You will also need to show this
when you enter Australia.</p>
<p>Airline staff will review your health status when you check in for your flight. Your DPD will show your health status as either:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Complete</strong>: the information you have entered in your declaration indicates you meet COVID-19 health requirements for boarding. You will still need to show your documentation at
check-in. Your airline will make the final decision to let you board your flight.</li>
<li><strong>Incomplete</strong>: you have not submitted your health information. The Digital Passenger Declaration requests critical health information. You must be able to show evidence that you
completed the critical information before boarding.</li>
<li><strong>Confirmation required at check-in</strong>: this means you may not have met the requirements for travel to Australia. You need to be confirmed at check-in. Your airline will decide if
you can travel. If the airline allows you to travel to Australia, you may need to quarantine on arrival. Before you start your DPD you should check the
<a class="external" href="https://www.health.gov.au/health-alerts/covid-19/international-travel/inbound" target="_blank">Department of Health website</a>. This has details on the important health
rules passengers need to follow when coming to Australia.</li>
</ul>

You do not have to pay for the DPD - it is free.
Before you start your declaration, have the below information ready:
* flight number
* valid passport
* travel history (14 days before the flight)
* destination and quarantine arrangements (if required)
* COVID-19 vaccination record or acceptable evidence you cannot be vaccinated
for medical reasons.
Each passenger is required to complete a DPD. Parents or guardians should
complete a declaration for any child under 16 years of age. Anyone who is 16
years old or over should complete their own declaration.
You must complete the DPD before you depart for Australia.
YOUR DIGITAL PASSENGER DECLARATION OUTCOME
A completed DPD does not guarantee your entry to Australia.
Once you have submitted the DPD, you will see a summary screen that you must
show (either electronically or printed) to airline staff before you board your
flight. You will also need to show this when you enter Australia.
Airline staff will review your health status when you check in for your flight.
Your DPD will show your health status as either:
* Complete: the information you have entered in your declaration indicates you
meet COVID-19 health requirements for boarding. You will still need to show
your documentation at check-in. Your airline will make the final decision to
let you board your flight.
* Incomplete: you have not submitted your health information. The Digital
Passenger Declaration requests critical health information. You must be able
to show evidence that you completed the critical information before boarding.
* Confirmation required at check-in: this means you may not have met the
requirements for travel to Australia. You need to be confirmed at check-in.
Your airline will decide if you can travel. If the airline allows you to
travel to Australia, you may need to quarantine on arrival. Before you start
your DPD you should check the Department of Health website. This has details
on the important health rules passengers need to follow when coming to
Australia.
All passengers should check the arrangements for all states and territories you
will travel to or transit. Requirements are different in each Australian State
