STEM Ambassadors Informational Flyer IMPROVING STEM EDUCATION The CMSE strives to improve mathematics and science education in Mississippi by fostering an interaction between academic and K-12 education communities, supporting the implementation of research-based methods in the classroom, and promoting interest in STEM fields. PROFESSIONAL LEARNING Whether we are working with classroom teachers and administrators or UM students, CMSE professional learning opportunities allow adult learners to explore research-based instructional strategies, analyze student thinking, and engage in hands-on activities. Our professional learning programs have shown tremendous impact on the content knowledge and instructional practices of teachers across our state and beyond. * CMSE Professional Learning K-12 STEM EXPERIENCES Our K-12 STEM Experiences Division aims to inspire students to engage in STEM content through a variety of programs including FIRST® Tech Challenge Robotics, Mobile Planetarium, field trips to the UM campus, and academic competitions. * CMSE K-12 STEM Experiences PROJECTS & PARTNERSHIPS CMSE programs are made possible through collaboration with a variety of partners. As a grant-funded center, we aim to achieve our mission through projects that promote STEM teaching and learning across our state and beyond.
