Ukraine has achieved a success in the ongoing conflict with Russia. This reports
the German newspaper merkur.de with reference to a corresponding video of
Ukraine.

The video, which was published by the Twitter account Ukraine Weapons Tracker,
is supposed to show the destruction of a Buk-M2 air defense system, according to
the operator. The air defense system is also known as “Grizzly” and is supposed
to enable target acquisition from helicopters or airplanes, among other things.
According to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, it is rather a Buk-M3, which is known
under the name “Viking”. It is unclear which air defense system it actually is.




The video, which was published on Twitter, was recorded by a drone. Starting
from the second half, explosions can be seen, during which lighting and attack
radars are also said to have been destroyed. Merkur.de writes with reference to
Newsweek that the scenes are said to have occurred near the village of
Novopetrykivka. This information has not yet been verified and / or confirmed.
For this reason, it is to be evaluated with reservations. It can be advantageous
for parties to the conflict to make falsified statements about the course of the
war in order to strengthen their own position.
