By Julia Potts and Alex Egan Published: Aug. 29, 2023 at 2:44 PM GMT+1|Updated: Aug. 30, 2023 at 5:21 PM GMT+1 Share on Facebook Email This Link Share on Twitter Share on Pinterest Share on LinkedIn BURLESON COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) - Texas DPS has confirmed one person died in a vehicle crash along FM 50 Tuesday morning. This happened south of FM 60 in Burleson County. DPS said the preliminary investigation shows a 2018 Freightliner 18-wheeler driven by Justin Davis, 35, of California, was traveling southbound on FM 50, failed to yield the right of way, and struck a 2016 Honda traveling eastbound on FM 60. The driver of the Honda, Jessica Ramos, 24, of Bryan was pronounced dead at the scene. Davis was taken to a local hospital for his injuries. According to the Snook Volunteer Fire Department, FM 50 was completely shut down in both directions near FM 60. The road was closed for several hours before reopening around 10:30 a.m. DPS said the crash is still under investigation. Copyright 2023 KBTX. All rights reserved.
