USING THE QUICKFS EXCEL ADD-IN

Automate your financial models and build custom reports using the QuickFS Excel
Add-In. Access hundreds of standardized datapoints and metrics for over 30,000
companies.

Using a simple function = QFS( ) you can incorporate our data into your
spreadsheets.

Note: This add-in does not work on the newest Mac OS (Big Sur). We are
developing an alternative for users with new Macs.

INSTALLATION

 1. Download the QuickFS Excel Add-in.
 2. Open the downloaded add-on workbook (named quickfs.install.xlam).

FOR WINDOWS USERS:

A recent Microsoft security patch prevents downloaded add-in modules from
running in untrusted locations. To work around this, navigate to the downloaded
file, right-click it and open the file properties window. Check the 'Unblock'
checkbox and click 'Apply' before opening the installer.

 1. Follow the prompts to enable macros and complete installation.
 2. Restart Excel and navigate to the 'quickfs.net' ribbon tab.
 3. Select the 'Login' button and enter your quickfs.net credentials.
 4. That's it! You're now ready to build your financial model.

Having trouble installing? If you are a Windows user and receive an installation
error, your antivirus software may be blocking our add-in. It is
a false positive. We periodically submit our add-in to the various anti-virus
providers so that they stop flagging it; usually, they are able to resolve the
issue until the next update, at which point we have to re-submit our add-in to
be cleared again.

Please email us at support@quickfs.net to let us know which antivirus software
is blocking our add-in so that we can submit a false positive report. This
process usually takes a day or two to resolve. If you are comfortable going
forward before then, you can tell your antivirus software not to block
"quickfs.functions.xlam" or "quickfs.xlam" and that should resolve the issue.

USING THE = QFS() FUNCTION

Once you've installed and enabled the add-on, you can construct a formula by
typing = QFS( ) into any cell. The formula accepts inputs in the order described
below.

= QFS( "ticker" , "metric" , "period" )

TICKER

QuickFS supports thousands of companies in its supported regions. A full list of
symbols with their QuickFS Identifier can be downloaded here.

If you need data for a company that we don't currently support, send us a note
at support@quickfs.net and we'll do our best to add it to our database.

METRIC NAME

QuickFS aggregates and computes hundreds of metrics for each of the companies we
support. Financial statement metrics like revenue may contain up to 20 years of
historical data.

You can download the QuickFS Add-in reference spreadsheet to find the full list
of supported metrics.

PERIOD NAME

Periods allow you to select the reporting interval and calendar range of data
you'd like to retrieve.

For example, revenue is reported on a quarterly and annual basis, as determined
by a company's fiscal calendar. The last 10 years of annual revenue figures is
represented by the periods FY-9 to FY. Similarly, the last 10 quarters of
reported quarterly revenue is represented by periods FQ-9 to FQ.

The following table summarizes supported period formats:

Period Description Examples FY Annual reporting interval FY, FY-3 FQ Quarterly
reporting interval FQ, FQ-2 TTM Last Four Quarters TTM
