About Us

REDEFINING POSSIBILITIES, EMPOWERING WOMEN, TRANSFORMING INDUSTRIES

Story Mission Vision

Born from a vision to empower young women, Ajira Yangu is a transformative
initiative that equips women aged 20-30 with technical, entrepreneurial, and
leadership skills. Our journey began with a simple question: “What if women had
the tools and support to excel in construction?” Today, we’re answering that
question with real impact, one woman at a time.

To create an inclusive construction industry by empowering women with the
skills, confidence, and opportunities to thrive and lead.

A future where women are at the forefront of Kenya’s construction
industry—transforming communities, challenging stereotypes, and inspiring
generations.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY!

I never thought I could start my own business, but the training and support I
got gave me the courage. With the savings group, I bought tools and started my
plumbing business. Now, I am independent and even hire other women
to work with me.

WANJIKU KARANJA

Entrepreneur and Plumber

At first, learning welding was tough, but I didn’t give up. Today, I work as a
welder and also mentor other women. The support from the group helped me stay
strong, and I love helping others find their path.

MARY ATIENO

Welder and Mentor

This program taught me electrical skills and gave me the chance to speak up for
women. I’ve helped my company make fair rules for women workers. I now feel
proud to inspire change in my industry.

FATIMA YUSUF

Advocate and Electrician

Before joining this program, I didn’t think I could work in construction. The
training helped me gain confidence and skills. Now, I run my own masonry
business, and I can support my family. The lessons on saving and managing money
have changed my life.
