RICE CAKE SOUP TTEOKGUK 떡국

Teeokguk (rice cake soup) is a delicious, light but filling soup made of
disc-shaped rice cakes in a clearish, milky broth. Koreans traditionally eat it
first thing on New Years Day (Jan 1st) and on Seollal (Korean New Year’s Day)
for good luck in the coming year!

Updated recipe

HOT AND SPICY RICE CAKE TTEOKBOKKI 떡볶이

Tteokbokki is chewy rice cakes cooked in a red, spicy broth. It’s something I
used to eat on the streets of Korea after school. My version uses anchovy stock,
which combines beautifully with the spicy sauce and soft rice cakes.
