Miruna is responsible for driving broader adoption of real-world data by the
life sciences industry. She has more than 20 years of experience at leading
pharmaceutical organizations such as Johnson & Johnson and Bristol Myers Squibb.
Prior to joining COTA, Miruna served as the head of Johnson & Johnson’s Clinical
Trial Feasibility and Advanced Analytics team where she drove global adoption of
integrated real-world data and innovation strategies across several therapeutic
areas. She has both a PhD in biology and statistics and a master’s in business
administration.


SANDY LEONARD

Chief Commercial Officer

Sandy is responsible for COTA’s life sciences growth strategy, prioritizing
customer success and experience. Prior to joining COTA, Sandy was the SVP of
Partnerships and Real-World Data at HealthVerity, responsible for driving
strategic partner relationships, growing government engagements, and expanding
the team that brought real-world data expertise to clients. Sandy previously
served as the VP, Medical Evidence and Observational Research at AstraZeneca
where she led a global team of real-world evidence scientists and study delivery
professionals who together delivered impactful evidence for the entirety of the
AstraZeneca portfolio.


NIROSHA LEDERER

Head of US Federal Government
Aetion

Nirosha leads partnership opportunities with the US federal government and
advises clients on RWE trends. Before joining Aetion, she led the RWE portfolio
at the Duke Margolis Center for Health Policy including developing policies and
strategies for increasing the usability and acceptance of RWD and RWE for
regulatory and payment decision-making. 
She previously served as SME in Patient-Focused Drug Development at the US FDA
Oncology Center of Excellence and worked at Avalere Health. Dr. Lederer served
on Capitol Hill with the House Committee on Ways and Means Subcommittee on
Health during the passage of the Affordable Care Act.


VERA MUCAJ

Chief Scientific Officer
Datavant

Vera leads a team focused on developing and defining key use cases for connected
health data in research, including driving the connection between clinical trial
data and real-world data. 

Vera is a research scientist by training, and holds a BA in Biochemistry from
Harvard College, and a PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of
Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine.
