SESSION INFORMATION:




Module 1: Powering Your Data Center with Cisco UCS on AMD Processors

This module focuses on Cisco UCS compute portfolio powered by AMD processors and
their benefits for data center environments. The module covers the different
models within the Cisco UCS compute portfolio, including the C225, C245, and
C4200. It also discusses the AMD EPYC processors used in these systems and their
advantages. Finally, the module provides best practices for memory population in
UCS M6 systems powered by AMD processors.

Module 2: Cisco Intersight – The Operations Platform

This module focuses on Cisco Intersight, an operations platform designed for
modern hybrid cloud management. The module covers the features and benefits of
Intersight, including its ability to manage globally distributed infrastructure,
inventory for 3rd party servers, proactive RMA and connected TAC, and 3rd party
integrations. It also explores the Intersight Device Connector, Intersight
Assist, Intersight Monitoring, Device Actions, and Intersight Integrated
Systems. The module discusses Intersight User Access, Advisories and HCL, and
UCS Management with Intersight. Additionally, it examines Intersight
Virtualization Service, Nexus Cloud, and the benefits of Nexus Cloud. The module
looks at the various deployment options for Intersight, including Intersight
Automation and Intersight Cloud Orchestrator, and explores the top use cases and
workflows for Intersight Cloud Orchestrator. Finally, the module covers
Intersight Workload Optimizer and the different functions and capabilities of
the tool.

Module 3: Cisco HyperFlex – Your Private Cloud Platform

This module covers topics such as the value of HCI, HyperFlex system deployment
options, UCS Fabric Interconnects, Cisco VIC Interface Cards, HyperFlex network,
data optimization, HyperFlex system components, HyperFlex storage tiers,
log-structure file system, replication factor, HXDP file system, recovering from
server failure, adding a new server, and various writing and reading scenarios.
It also explores HCI with data locality, building global infrastructure,
scalable deployment model, HyperFlex use cases, HyperFlex storage options,
HyperFlex cluster capacity, HyperFlex scalability, and different failure
scenarios. Additionally, the module discusses GPU virtualization, ISCSI storage
on HyperFlex, ISCSI solutions for licensing challenges and workload
requirements, SAN for baremetal and persistent container storage, HyperFlex
storage security, native 1:1 and N:1 replication, HyperFlex Edge, 2-Node Edge,
HyperFlex Data Center No-FI deployment, and HyperFlex Stretched Cluster.

Module 4: Installing and Managing Cisco HyperFlex

This module covers the installation and management of Cisco HyperFlex, a
hyperconverged infrastructure system. It discusses the different options
available for installation, expansion, and upgrades, and outlines the
prerequisites needed for a successful installation. The module also covers how
to manage HyperFlex through Intersight, including creating a cluster profile,
monitoring performance, and planning for capacity. Finally, the module explains
how to perform a health check, upgrades, and system expansions.
