make them for fun & practice. It’s all fan art. I am in no way affiliated with

Hey guys



I would like to share something important with you. Ever since I started making
maps for the Escape from Tarkov community I have really enjoyed the whole
process of gathering in-game reference, making 3D models, collaborating with the
wiki for up-to-date information & getting direct feedback from the community on
work-in-progress updates. It has proven to be an amazing way for me to improve,
to sharpen my skills as a 3D modeler & staying motivated all at the same time.

 

On the flip-side, making the maps is very time consuming. I would gladly put
more time into it but in order to do so I need to start thinking of ways to
monetize the map-making other than only relying on donations. I get about ~20K
unique visitors who come to my site every month but on average I get one 10€
donation during that same time. Dont get me wrong – I am very grateful for any
donation no matter the sum and I try to honor that by putting all donators names
on my maps and/or WIP images in the form of grafitti, fake ads or something
similar. It’s just not enough if I want to put more time into it. 



Because of that I have activated Google ads on my site. It’s annoying & I
completely understand using an ablocker to get rid of them but if you think that
my maps are useful (or if you just want to support what I do) then please
consider turning the adblocker off for the site occasionally or dropping a small
donation using the paypal link in the bottom right of my site.  If everybody who
visited the site just donated 1€ I could do this for a living & invest in
courses / tools to improve them further.

 

And dont worry. I am never going to charge or force payment for any of my maps.
No paywall gated bullshit. They will stay free & available to anybody who comes
to the site, the wiki & or any of the websites I have given permission to host
them. Worst case I will just produce them at a much slower pace.
