The emphasis is on open-world exploration and planetary surface battles, played in first-person perspective. You are the commander of your own space-faring faction, and during battles you command your troops as well as engage your enemies directly. The open-world galaxy in Earth From Another Sun is densely populated, and has many mysterious character, locations, treasures and stories for you to discover. Whether you decide to conquer other nations and star systems, and eventually rule the galaxy, or stay a lone-wolf warrior working tirelessly to repel an impending alien invasion, or maybe just become the wealthiest merchant in the known universe, the choice is yours. Is the galaxy in EFAS an open world? expand_more Yes. The galaxy in Earth From Another Sun is large, with many planets and other locations to explore. You are free to go wherever you please. Landing on the surfaces of planets is not continuous yet, and there are loading screens. But the galaxy is large, and there will be a massive amount of cool things for you to explore and discover. When will the game be finished? expand_more We are well into the production phase of the project and we are making better progress than we had anticipated. The game will enter into Early Access some time in 2023, by which time the majority of the planned features are completed. After that, new content (locations, cities, NPCs, quests, treasures, vehicles, gadgets, etc.) will still be continually added every two weeks, and we plan to do that for years to come.
