Congrats on deciding to get certified because we think you’re going to love it!

Check out our FB page @scubaadventuresplano to see some exciting images and
videos of students in training and certified divers heading out all over the
world to explore the underwater world.

As you will learn, we provide a full curriculum of continuing education, fun
dives and international dive travel.


HOW MUCH IS IT TO GET CERTIFIED?

The dive shop charges $550 which includes e learning and two weekends of
instruction. After successful completion of Open Water weekend, you will have
your first TWO certifications. Open Water & Nitrox ($145 value).

This includes:

 * An experienced SDI Instructor.
 * A BCD, regulator, wetsuit, tanks and weights to use throughout the course.
 * A FREE Nitrox course.
 * Online study materials
 * A weekend training in the pool
 * A weekend training at the Scuba Ranch


WHERE WILL I DO MY OPEN WATER CHECK OUT DIVES?

Open water weekend will be held at The Scuba Ranch in Terrell, TX (the
ScubaRanch.com). Scuba Adventures has a private pavilion, custom dock and
underwater training platforms at The Scuba Ranch that are in use every weekend.
During your dives you’ll find a “shark,” sunken planes and sunken boats.

The scuba park has been built and maintained to serve student divers across
North Texas and Oklahoma. The park charges $25 per day for entry and $10 per
tank to refill air. You can expect to use at least 4 refills between Saturday
and Sunday.

Want to get certified in winter? Ask our staff about getting certified at Spring
Lake at The Meadows Center in San Marcos, Texas, where the water is 72 degrees
year-round!


WHAT GEAR DO I NEED?

You are responsible for bringing your own personal gear to training (mask, fins,
boots, snorkel). We call it this because this gear has the most personal fit to
you.

This gear is so important we spend as much time as it takes to get you the best
fit. A bad mask fit or bad fin fit will ruin your dive. If there is a problem in
our on-site pool, we can trade out the gear and get you in what is best for you.

Your personal gear lasts quite a long time and is also perfect for snorkeling.
So invest in a proper fit.

We suggest coming in several days before class begins for a personal fitting.

Note: Coming in the first day of training doesn’t give us time to provide a
careful, proper fitting.


HOW DO I GET STARTED?

Call the shop, check out our website, shoot us an email – we are very flexible
on helping you get started because as excited as you are to get started we are
just as excited to share the underwater world with you.


DO YOU HAVE A WAY FOR US TO JUST TRY IT TO SEE IF WE LIKE SCUBA BEFORE WE SIGN
UP FOR THE WHOLE THING?

Absolutely – we run Try Scubas every 1st and 3rd Wednesday as well as other days
throughout the month, but if those days don’t work for you call us and we can
work something out.

HOW MUCH DOES PERSONAL GEAR RUN?

Gear cost is somewhat flexible but you can be as little as $180 all the way up
to $505. Again the most important item is fit and comfort; we would rather sell
you an inexpensive mask that fits perfectly than the most expensive mask that
does not fit. We want to make you scuba fanatics and the way to do that is to
make you comfortable in the water.


WHEN IS YOUR NEXT CLASS?

In warmer months, we generally run open water classes every weekend. You can see
our course schedule here.


DO YOU HAVE A TRAINING POOL ONSITE?

Yes! We're proud to have the deepest pool in the DFW area (16 feet!). And even
better, it's heated! Our pool is perfect for year-round training.


HOW OLD DO YOU HAVE TO BE TO GET CERTIFIED?

Students between the ages of 10 through 14 may obtain an SDI Junior Open Water
Scuba Diver Certification as long as they train and dive under the direct
supervision of a parent, guardian, or active dive professional.

And 15-17-year-olds may get scuba certified with parental consent.


DO YOU WORK WITH BOY AND GIRL SCOUTS?

Yes! We love working with boy and girl scouts!

There are four merit badges we can help scouts earn including scuba diving,
swimming, first aid, and lifesaving.

You can schedule a time for your entire troop to get certified or your child can
register for any of our open water courses.

We also offer the opportunity to fundraise for your troop through Discover Scuba
classes.

CERTIFIED DIVER FAQS


I’M OPEN WATER CERTIFIED, WHERE DO I GO FROM HERE?

The options are endless! Once you're certified, you're able to scuba dive
anywhere in the world up to 60 feet with a buddy.

The best advice we can give new divers is to dive, dive, dive! The more you
dive, the more comfortable and confident you'll be.

Here are a few popular things to do once you're certified:

 * Go on a dive trip! Whether it's Lake Travis, Florida, or international, many
   divers are itching to get some different dive experiences under their belt
   once they're certified.
 * Get some extra practice in at the lake. We run courses almost every weekend
   and there are often certified divers hanging out at the Scuba Adventures
   pavilion and going on "fun dives."
 * Sign up for the Advanced Buoyancy course. This is many divers' favorite
   course. It's especially helpful for new divers who are looking to master
   their buoyancy skills. The nice thing about this course is it's run in our
   18-foot pool at the shop so it's easy to do one weeknight.
 * Become an advanced scuba diver after completing 5 specialties.


I HAVE MY PERSONAL GEAR – NOW WHAT SHOULD I BUY NEXT?

After mask, fins, snorkel and boots, the debate is on as to what should be your
next purchase.  Most agencies these days really encourage the use of a dive
computer, and we would encourage you to look at that as your next purchase, that
way when you go diving you are familiar with your computer and how it operates. 
You will know where it has been and that no one was diving on it the day before
that may cut your diving short.  

Other items to consider are regulators as that is the key life support equipment
and making sure you know how that is cared for is also important.  If you are
still just wanting to minimize costs while still renting the regulator BC and
computer, then think about a wetsuit that suits your diving.


WHAT IS A GOOD SPECIALTY COURSE FOR ME TO TAKE?

If you've just finished your open water course and plan to do any freshwater
diving, we highly recommend Underwater Navigation. This will help you navigate
the Texas lakes and limited visibility where natural contours are not as visible
as they are in the ocean.

If you are looking to mainly do dives in the ocean, then a deep specialty where
you can achieve some depth but in the care of an instructor is where you should
focus.

Of course one of our most popular is advanced buoyancy since it is the only
specialty that you can get with pool dives only and the material you learn here
will translate to all your dives.

Scuba Adventures provides service and repair, for products in our carried lines

I can’t recommend this place enough. After moving to the area, I read a lot of
reviews and emailed several dive shops before going with Scuba Adventures. I
choose them because they were the most responsive and helpful. The owners seem
to not only be great divers but have business backgrounds. This is the most
focus on customer service I have seen in a dive shop. Good inventory with all of
the brands I could ask for. On point with their pricing. If you do find a better
price they will work with you.

I ended up taking the Rescue Diver course and had a blast! I just got back from
a dive trip with them at Lake Travis, very enjoyable. They also have one of the
only indoor pools (18 ft.) in the area.

At Scuba ranch they have a big spot that is one of the easiest to get to and a
nice pavilion for training. They are right next to the air refill station, which
I love! Family and friends are welcome at the ranch. Good community there on
weekends and you'll most likely find a dive buddy for a fun dive.

Scuba Adventures and their staff are beyond amazing! Their Plano store has a
very wide selection of equipment and the pool is 18ft deep! Their Scuba Ranch
location is amazing and still growing, with plenty of room and seating. I’m a

The new owners are the greatest! Their positive approach towards people and the

In January 2020, Scuba Adventures was purchased by divers that were affiliated
with a different scuba store. These same divers taught me to dive, and got me to
fall in love with scuba diving (despite me being pretty scared to start). I
trust them, enough that I opted to take a trip with them to Cozumel for diving
in 2019. It was one of the best trips of my life, and now I'm already signed up
for their Costa Rica dive trip in 2020 with Scuba Adventures. I haven't visited
the shop yet, but I can 100% vouch for the new owners--they are knowledgeable
divers, good people, and all around amazing.

Great customer service, from the owners to the employees. Very knowledgeable
about everything and anything pertaining to scuba diving. The instructors are
highly educated and experienced in scuba diving. They put you through real life
scenarios, so you know and understand what to do in the event something happens
while you are under water. My family and I learned a lot about scuba diving in a
very short amount of time. We will definitely keep taking additional courses
with Scuba Adventures as we progress. We definitely reccomend Scuba Adventures

Not surprisingly given the many excellent reviews , this place is a cut above
all others. I have been diving for about 20 years now and this is the most
professional, knowledgeable and user friendly outfit I have ever been to and I
have been all over the world. Was in town for business and inquired about a
scuba class, not really expecting much so last minute. Received an immediate
response. As I usually do I asked too many questions, all were answered. Took a
peak performance buoyancy class with David. Cannot say enough about this guy—
Friendly, knowledgeable, a lot of real world experience that he shares with
ease. What I really appreciate about him is the extent to which he holds you to
a standard: he is a super nice guy but he wants to make sure that you know what
you’re doing before you leave, in other words when you walk out with that card
(which you will do because they have a card printer there unlike many places
that mail it to you weeks later or forget to entirely) you’ve definitely earned
it. He effortlessly weaves in stories, close calls etc with the lesson plan.
There is a real sense of accomplishment walking out of here— I think their bias
is to teach self improvement through scuba. What an awesome concept.If you are
considering any level of additional training, definitely try these guys out. For
me, this experience was a game changer, and since Ive been diving for quite a
while, I honestly did not expect that.

My husband and I had Certified Scuba Instructor Derrick who was very patient
with the two of us as we learned professionalism to Snorkel. It’s more than
googles and having a mouth piece. We had to know what size flippers we needed,
how to breathe correctly with the mouth tube and how to move in the water.Thank
You Derrick for the lesson. We both became comfortable in the pool. We know that
ocean is something else! I Believe I can snorkel!!! I’m ready to try my skills

I have been diving for 20 years now, and lived in several states and dealt with
dive shops all over the world.I must say that the service at SA is phenomenal,
there is no such thing as a silly question when you pass the entrance door, and
the staff and owner are extremely knowledgeable, patient and friendly.In
addition, I really like the transparent way in which they handle annual service
of equipment we entrust our lives to.My son got certified here as well and loved
the experience.I have not been able to join one of their dive trips yet, but

My wife and I got scuba certified here and it was an epic experience. We both

Cannot say enough good things about this group. Was a little anxious about

competent. I was quite comfortable underwater by the end of 2nd day and the open

Out of diving for 15 years, we signed up with Scuba Adventures for a refresher
course. Derrick did an amazing job and love the program Scuba Adventures put
together. Derrick made us put our gear together, disassemble it, reassemble it
and check for problems. We hopped into the pool, worked through mask issues,
buddy breathing… and stayed 45 minutes late to get through all the information
he wanted to share. I could rattle on but what a great place we have here in
Plano.

Owner told me they take pictures of our gear when it’s being serviced, but I’ve
still yet to receive a single one. Now I know why. I pulled my regs out of the
box a bit ago and found that they’d damaged the rear cover/writing slate of my
SPG console. No one said a thing about it to me.Fleshing out my initial review
from a couple days ago: my fiance uses a dive shop out of state and had the
exact same services done that I had done. Total cost was under $100 and included
replacing two O-rings. That invoice total came out to hundreds less than I paid
the crooks at Scuba Adventures. This dive shop also said that it was Scuba
Adventures’ responsibility to register my gear with Aqualung.What an
unbelievable lack of integrity.

missed the points when they were so clearly laid out, & I’m not sure how to dumb
it down enough for you to understand when it’s already so elementary.I was told
“any needed parts” would be charged in addition to the initial quote, & I
readily agreed to that because my equipment is a year old, & nothing was needed
beyond *maybe* some O-rings. The parts you returned to me look new, so
replacement parts clearly were NOT needed. Yet, you charged me for multiple
parts kits & basically replaced new parts with new parts. That makes no
sense.The final invoice details the charges but has nothing that legitimately
justifies the parts kits, & it was only provided to me after I asked for it. I
still don’t have a single photo.You failed to address a single actual issue in
your reply to me. And you made similar comments to another reviewer a year ago
but apparently still haven’t updated practices you said would be improved
upon.No, I didn’t purchase my gear from you. But I was excited to make you my
dive shop for ALL future servicing needs & gear purchases & was preparing to
book myself & my fiancé for classes with you.You lost a ton more money than you
scammed me out of. This is what happens when you cheat people.———————-Scuba
Adventures is running a low-key scam w/ maintenance services. Beware hidden fees
& unnecessary work, & question *EVERYTHING* in the fine print. If you want to
label me unrealistic, check reviews left by Christopher DeRusha & Bill Holley.
Their & my experiences speak to a dirty little pattern.I had SA do the 1st
annual maintenance on my Aqualung 1st & 2nd stages, octo, & BCD & was told any
needed parts would be in addition to the quoted price for service. My equipment
is only a year old, has a total of seven dives on the clock, & is well-cared
for, so parts needed should have been limited to a few O rings at best & no more
than about $20 in parts at worst. I was shocked to find the final total was
*more than double* the initial quote. The “invoice” I received had no detail
whatsoever outlining the work performed, showed “Estimate” instead of “Invoice”,
& was more advertisement than anything else, so I was sure there was a mistake.
Turns out I was charged for kits to replace all parts, which was wholly
unnecessary because, again, everything is a year old with just 7 dives. Not only
is it not possible that anything more than a few O rings on the regs needed
replacing, there was no indication on any of the limited paperwork I received
that anything did need replacing. Why would anyone replace parts that are still
essentially new?! Fine print at the bottom of the quote states “all regulator
services will have standard manufacturer parts kits added”. Lesson learned: this
apparently doesn’t mean kits will be added only if needed, which would be common
sense; it means kits will be added whether needed or not.Not only was the final
“invoice” I received by email a joke, the phone call to inform me my equipment
was ready to pick up was just a quick automated message. So much for a personal
touch.Unfortunately for me, Aqualung seems to have fallen on terrible times, &
it appears they’ve removed public access to their “free parts for life” program,
so I can no longer register with them in order to get refunded my out-of-pocket
costs.Unfortunately for SA, I found a shop out of state that has taken my
business from them. This shop spent an hour on the phone with me & provided a
plethora of wildly valuable information … including the fact that Aqualung
doesn’t require full service at the 1st year mark to keep the warranty in effect
– you just need an inspection. It would have been nice if SA had offered that
up. And you can’t tell me they don’t know – the owner told me I have to be
registered with Aqualung’s “free parts for life” program to actually get the
free parts. If they know this much, they should know the rest.I had high hopes
for a long-term relationship with SA. That’s simply not in the cards now.

My wife & I got our open water/ Nitrox certifications from Scuba Adventures, we
went in before class to purchase our personal equipment (masks, snorkels, fins
etc.) the staff was incredibly helpful in explaining the differences between
brands, helping us getting our sizing for fins and it was honestly the best
customer service experience we’ve had in a very long time. When it was time to
dive for class Brent & Derek were our confined water instructors and they were
extremely diligent in making sure whatever questions the class had were
answered, making sure whatever skills we needed to improve on or we did
correctly they supported where needed, and celebrated the wins with us! For our
open water classes we had quite a few instructors diving with us, Zack, Elon &
Tim and it was an incredible experience! As new divers we were excited & nervous
about our first dive, but the scuba adventures team went out of their way to
make sure we had all the information we needed to have a safe and fun experience
throughout the whole weekend! Zack even stayed behind after we were officially
certified to dive with me again at my request!!Throughout the certification
process the Scuba Adventures instructors/dive shop have very quickly became
family to us! They will have our business always!! Thank you all for such an
amazing experience!

I had an awesome experience at Scuba Plano. I took a private refresher course
since I hadn’t been diving in awhile and Leora was awesome. She went over
everything I needed to know and made sure I was ready to dive again. Sarah spent
extra time with me going over my gear to make sure everything was still in good
shape and helped me upgrade some of my items. I highly recommend this place.

I really can’t say enough to state how wonderful of an experience I have every
time I interact with Scuba Adventures. I’ve taken 6 courses with them over the
past 2 years with my Son. Autumn and Sarah who work the front desk really are
special and make me feel like family every time we speak. The instructors I’ve
dove with (Windal, Enrique, Elon, Dave, Leora, Shug, Preston, and Brent) all
have a penchant for safety, yet still make it exciting and fun. I’ve always felt
incredibly safe every time I’ve been underwater with them. The owner, Brent, has
done an exceptional job of filling his roster with staff that are enjoyable to

I completed the open water course today and had a fantastic experience! I got
certified so that I could join my Boy Scout son in Florida this summer. My son
took the class from Scuba Adventures previously and has already been diving. He
learned so well that he wants me to go and for us to have a lifelong passion
together while mom hangs at the beach! Scuba Adventures techniques are to
promote the positive while training everyone to be comfortable with how to
handle gear, support your buddy, and of course know what to do in tricky or
emergency situations. There were some parts that were challenging but all the
instructors – Tom, Bonnie, Brent and Paul were patient, kind and fun to work
with which made things easy! I now have a lifelong skill that I can use with my
son or anyone that wants to go and have fun while seeing an amazing underwater

scuba discovery class was an absolute blast! Breathing underwater for the first

My first interaction with Scuba Adventure was getting them to do my annual
equipment maintenance. The service was outstanding, and the staff was very
friendly. I recently completed the Advanced Buoyancy Diver course. The
experience was amazing! David Filas was the instructor. He presented the

I did open water certification up to the open water dives, and then got a
referral to finish on a vacation I was doing shortly after. I really enjoyed SDI
elearning. It is very user friendly and well written. I felt overly prepared in
knowledge before suiting up in the pool. After the confined water skills at
Scuba Adventures, my dive instructor in Honduras was very impressed with my
abilities right out of training, a testament to the quality of the training
program at Scuba Adventures. I look forward to doing more specialties and

I’m not a social media or reviewer-type guy, but I just felt a positive review
was warranted in this case. We just finished the Hogarthian 1 training class
with SCUBA Adventures Plano. Brent was an excellent comprehensive and patient
instructor and we learned SO much more than we were expecting or thought we paid
for! The Global Underwater Explorers (GUE) learning path is an intriguing one
and we can’t wait to practice and develop our skills. Scuba Adventures Plano
will be our choice for instruction the whole way.

Not surprisingly given the many excellent reviews , this place is a cut above
all others. I have been diving for about 20 years now and this is the most
professional, knowledgeable and user friendly outfit I have ever been to and I
have been all over the world. Was in town for business and inquired about a
scuba class, not really expecting much so last minute. Received an immediate
response. As I usually do I asked too many questions, all were answered. Took a
peak performance buoyancy class with David. Cannot say enough about this guy—
Friendly, knowledgeable, a lot of real world experience that he shares with
ease. What I really appreciate about him is the extent to which he holds you to
a standard: he is a super nice guy but he wants to make sure that you know what
you’re doing before you leave, in other words when you walk out with that card
(which you will do because they have a card printer there unlike many places
that mail it to you weeks later or forget to entirely) you’ve definitely earned
it. He effortlessly weaves in stories, close calls etc with the lesson plan.
There is a real sense of accomplishment walking out of here— I think their bias
is to teach self improvement through scuba. What an awesome concept.If you are
considering any level of additional training, definitely try these guys out. For
me, this experience was a game changer, and since Ive been diving for quite a
while, I honestly did not expect that.

My husband and I had Certified Scuba Instructor Derrick who was very patient
with the two of us as we learned professionalism to Snorkel. It’s more than
googles and having a mouth piece. We had to know what size flippers we needed,
how to breathe correctly with the mouth tube and how to move in the water.Thank

there is no such thing as a silly question when you pass the entrance door, and

still don’t have a single photo.You failed to address a single actual issue in
your reply to me. And you made similar comments to another reviewer a year ago
but apparently still haven’t updated practices you said would be improved
upon.No, I didn’t purchase my gear from you. But I was excited to make you my
dive shop for ALL future servicing needs & gear purchases & was preparing to
book myself & my fiancé for classes with you.You lost a ton more money than you
scammed me out of. This is what happens when you cheat people.———————-Scuba
Adventures is running a low-key scam w/ maintenance services. Beware hidden fees
& unnecessary work, & question *EVERYTHING* in the fine print. If you want to
label me unrealistic, check reviews left by Christopher DeRusha & Bill Holley.
Their & my experiences speak to a dirty little pattern.I had SA do the 1st
annual maintenance on my Aqualung 1st & 2nd stages, octo, & BCD & was told any
needed parts would be in addition to the quoted price for service. My equipment
is only a year old, has a total of seven dives on the clock, & is well-cared
for, so parts needed should have been limited to a few O rings at best & no more
than about $20 in parts at worst. I was shocked to find the final total was
*more than double* the initial quote. The “invoice” I received had no detail
whatsoever outlining the work performed, showed “Estimate” instead of “Invoice”,
& was more advertisement than anything else, so I was sure there was a mistake.
Turns out I was charged for kits to replace all parts, which was wholly
unnecessary because, again, everything is a year old with just 7 dives. Not only
is it not possible that anything more than a few O rings on the regs needed
replacing, there was no indication on any of the limited paperwork I received
that anything did need replacing. Why would anyone replace parts that are still
essentially new?! Fine print at the bottom of the quote states “all regulator
services will have standard manufacturer parts kits added”. Lesson learned: this
apparently doesn’t mean kits will be added only if needed, which would be common
sense; it means kits will be added whether needed or not.Not only was the final
“invoice” I received by email a joke, the phone call to inform me my equipment
was ready to pick up was just a quick automated message. So much for a personal
touch.Unfortunately for me, Aqualung seems to have fallen on terrible times, &
it appears they’ve removed public access to their “free parts for life” program,
so I can no longer register with them in order to get refunded my out-of-pocket
costs.Unfortunately for SA, I found a shop out of state that has taken my
business from them. This shop spent an hour on the phone with me & provided a
plethora of wildly valuable information … including the fact that Aqualung
doesn’t require full service at the 1st year mark to keep the warranty in effect
– you just need an inspection. It would have been nice if SA had offered that
up. And you can’t tell me they don’t know – the owner told me I have to be
registered with Aqualung’s “free parts for life” program to actually get the
free parts. If they know this much, they should know the rest.I had high hopes
for a long-term relationship with SA. That’s simply not in the cards now.

My wife & I got our open water/ Nitrox certifications from Scuba Adventures, we
went in before class to purchase our personal equipment (masks, snorkels, fins
etc.) the staff was incredibly helpful in explaining the differences between
brands, helping us getting our sizing for fins and it was honestly the best
customer service experience we’ve had in a very long time. When it was time to
dive for class Brent & Derek were our confined water instructors and they were
extremely diligent in making sure whatever questions the class had were
answered, making sure whatever skills we needed to improve on or we did
correctly they supported where needed, and celebrated the wins with us! For our
open water classes we had quite a few instructors diving with us, Zack, Elon &
Tim and it was an incredible experience! As new divers we were excited & nervous
about our first dive, but the scuba adventures team went out of their way to
make sure we had all the information we needed to have a safe and fun experience
throughout the whole weekend! Zack even stayed behind after we were officially
certified to dive with me again at my request!!Throughout the certification
process the Scuba Adventures instructors/dive shop have very quickly became
family to us! They will have our business always!! Thank you all for such an
amazing experience!

I had an awesome experience at Scuba Plano. I took a private refresher course
since I hadn’t been diving in awhile and Leora was awesome. She went over
everything I needed to know and made sure I was ready to dive again. Sarah spent
extra time with me going over my gear to make sure everything was still in good
shape and helped me upgrade some of my items. I highly recommend this place.

Absolutely fantastic experience with a Scuba Adventures! Very friendly and
knowledgeable staff. They made the entire process smooth and enjoyable.The open
water scuba certification class was exceptional. The instructors(Tom, Elon,
Stanley) were incredibly patient, professional, and passionate about diving.
They ensured everyone felt comfortable and confident in the water. The small
class sizes allowed for personalized attention, and the hands-on training was
thorough and engaging.I can’t recommend Scuba Adventures enough for anyone
looking to get certified or just wanting a fantastic diving experience. A
five-star experience from start to finish!

I and two of my kids did the open water scuba certification classes through
Scuba Adventures. We did this in April and May of 2024. The process was easy and
straightforward! The email and phone communications were clear and timely. The
instructors were terrific! I would highly recommend going to the pros at Scuba
Adventures for your scuba training and gear needs.

I really can’t say enough to state how wonderful of an experience I have every
time I interact with Scuba Adventures. I’ve taken 6 courses with them over the
past 2 years with my Son. Autumn and Sarah who work the front desk really are
special and make me feel like family every time we speak. The instructors I’ve
dove with (Windal, Enrique, Elon, Dave, Leora, Shug, Preston, and Brent) all
have a penchant for safety, yet still make it exciting and fun. I’ve always felt
incredibly safe every time I’ve been underwater with them. The owner, Brent, has
done an exceptional job of filling his roster with staff that are enjoyable to
be around and learn from. I send everyone I know to them for this reason.

I completed the open water course today and had a fantastic experience! I got
certified so that I could join my Boy Scout son in Florida this summer. My son
took the class from Scuba Adventures previously and has already been diving. He
learned so well that he wants me to go and for us to have a lifelong passion
together while mom hangs at the beach! Scuba Adventures techniques are to
promote the positive while training everyone to be comfortable with how to
handle gear, support your buddy, and of course know what to do in tricky or
emergency situations. There were some parts that were challenging but all the
instructors – Tom, Bonnie, Brent and Paul were patient, kind and fun to work
with which made things easy! I now have a lifelong skill that I can use with my
son or anyone that wants to go and have fun while seeing an amazing underwater
world. I highly recommend Scuba Adventures!

I had the most incredible day at Scuba Adventures in Plano, Tx! Taking their
scuba discovery class was an absolute blast! Breathing underwater for the first
time was beyond cool – it felt like diving into a whole new world of
wonder.Brent and Autumn were fantastic, guiding us through every step with
patience and enthusiasm. Learning how to clear my mask and mastering the art of
descending and ascending in their 16ft heated pool was both thrilling and
empowering.I can’t thank the team at Scuba Adventures enough for such an
unforgettable experience. It’s definitely a day I’ll cherish forever. Highly

My first interaction with Scuba Adventure was getting them to do my annual
equipment maintenance. The service was outstanding, and the staff was very
friendly. I recently completed the Advanced Buoyancy Diver course. The
experience was amazing! David Filas was the instructor. He presented the
material in a clear way during the classroom session and taught the techniques
with practical methods during the heated pool work. Highly recommend the course!

I did open water certification up to the open water dives, and then got a
referral to finish on a vacation I was doing shortly after. I really enjoyed SDI
elearning. It is very user friendly and well written. I felt overly prepared in
knowledge before suiting up in the pool. After the confined water skills at
Scuba Adventures, my dive instructor in Honduras was very impressed with my
abilities right out of training, a testament to the quality of the training
program at Scuba Adventures. I look forward to doing more specialties and
certificates with this shop in the future.

Took the Discover Scuba course as part of a team event for work. Had never had
much interest in scuba prior to the course, but after taking it, a lot of my
team (myself included) are interested in becoming fully certified!The experience
was so much fun from start to finish. Brent and Autumn were awesome instructors,
and made the course extremely educational but so much fun at the same time. I’m
really looking forward to going back for more advanced courses!

Scuba Adventures in Plano is the place to be!! My coworkers and I did a Discover
Scuba class led by Brent and Autumn and had so much fun. Definitely will be
returning to get my scuba certification! Shoutout to Scott Berry at the Dive
shop for setting the whole thing up and for always going the extra mile for each
customer! 5/5 stars- I wish I could give more!

I’m not a social media or reviewer-type guy, but I just felt a positive review
was warranted in this case. We just finished the Hogarthian 1 training class
with SCUBA Adventures Plano. Brent was an excellent comprehensive and patient
instructor and we learned SO much more than we were expecting or thought we paid
for! The Global Underwater Explorers (GUE) learning path is an intriguing one
and we can’t wait to practice and develop our skills. Scuba Adventures Plano
will be our choice for instruction the whole way.
