Die Bayou Classic Bayou Fritteuse 3,5 Liter erhitzt von innen nach außen, nicht
von unten. Der rückseitig montierte Jetbrenner strahlt heiße Luft horizontal
durch hohle Innenschläuche, die in Speiseöl eingetaucht wird. Die Wärme wird vom
Metallrohr in die Mitte des Öls übertragen, um den Teig während des Gebrauchs
nicht zu verbrennen. Dieses Design ermöglicht es Ihnen, Ihr Öl viele Male
wiederzuverwenden und reduziert die Kosten. Korbgröße: 19,1 x 27,9 x 8,9 cm. Es
ist eine freistehende Einheit mit 2 Sets Beinen, die das Gerät auf Taillenhöhe
bringen oder auf eine Tischplatte legen. Die Bayou Fritteuse verfügt auch über
einen eingebauten Abfluss, ein großes Thermometer und einen 10 PSI Regler mit
Regelventil und Edelstahlgeflechtschlauch. Enthält einen voreingestellten
Hochdruckregler-Bausatz mit Edelstahl-Geflechtschlauch.

This is a follow-on review after a great deal of cleaning. While it is seriously
difficult to clean all the manufacturing oil out of all the hard to reach
places, it is a fabulous fish fryer. My temperature gauge was faulty, but I
didn't need it. It will fry a lot fish very fast and the drain for the oil works
well with a large funnel. Its well made, and I am sure I will get many years of
perfectly fried fish and other items as well. I highly recommend this fryer over
any other on the. market. I bought this on the recommendation of a friend who
also gives it 5 stars.

Initially, I was looking at buying the Cajun Fryer because of its divided
cooking compartment. That way, I could cook chicken and fish at the same time.
We typically eat fried food once a quarter but sometimes more often. The Cajun
fryer would have been an overkill for me but like I said, I liked the divided
cooking compartment. The biggest picnic I had about 20 people that attended. The
smaller fryer is more than adequate for 2-6 people. After additional research, I
found the Bayou classic and bought two units, one 2.5 gallon and the other 4
gallon capacity for about half the price of one Cajun fryer ($850). I paid $200
for one and $250 for the other with free shipping because of my Amazon prime
membership. The 2.5 gallon and 4 gallon is listed for $250 and $350 respectively
on their web site but I paid $200 and $250 respectively on Amazon with free
shipping. I've used the 2.5 gallon fryer about five times and it didn't
disappoint. If you get one, make sure the valve is in the closed position before
you pour oil into the chamber. I labeled (o for open, and c for closed) the
drain mechanism with a sharpie so I had a visual reference. It will take some
experimenting to regulate the temperature unless you buy a regulator for your
propane tank but it's a minor issue.

I have fried a LOT of fish on our fishing trips to Canada. Up until this last
trip we used the outdoor turkey fryer type. First off, it worked as advertised.
We used it at least 7 times without changing the oil. The only maintenance I did
was to open the drain valve for about 3 seconds to clean out the crumbs at the
bottom then filtered the oil back in to the unit. If I had any complaints is
that the unit is much louder than the turkey fryer type. We had concerns about
how much propane the unit would go through, but it does seem to be pretty
efficient.
We really love the built in thermometer, should never get lost, and not get in
the way of cooking. .There is a lot of heat going out the exhaust. I would not
mind having the exhaust heating some sort of metal plate acting as a side
burner, but that is not what it was designed for.
Also a little disappointed with the oil drain hose attachment. It probably would
have been fine to use,but I think it was cleaner just to put a pan under the
drain valve. I left the fryer at the fishing camp, but thinking of buying
another one for home. Maybe upgrade to the 4 gallon unit.

Just received this, so this is a preliminary review. 1st important note, this
thing is surprisingly small! 6-8 pieces of chicken max, fries for 2-3. Not a
party machine. The great thing is that you're not worried about burning the
fallen flour and such, it all goes to the bottom in the cold zone. That means
that you CAN just cook a second batch. That, however, costs you 10-12 minutes
more for chicken, a similar amount for twice cooked fries (3 on, 5 off, 3 on).
Assembly was easy, and use as well. It heats up quickly, and cools slowly. I was
expecting a temperature drop on putting my chicken in, so I always go up to 400
F (open pot and burner) and let the thermal inertia of the cold(er) chicken drop
it into the 375 F zone. It didn't drop! No matter how low I turned the burner it
stubbornly held close to 400 F. No problem next time, 375 it is! This thing has
plenty f power.
Take care too work up the burner power slowly, near max it can overspill the
heat exchanger pipe.
I didn't get the 4 gallon, just seemed like way too much oil. If you want a
party machine go there, I think.

If you do any amount of regular deep frying this one will not let you down.
Throw your electric deep fryer away and let this one do the work. Keeps oil at
350 with a full basket of frozen fries. If your cooking fish once the oil is up
to temp you can turn the gas supply down to almost nothing and it will stay at
350. The best tasting walleye comes from a deep fryer that does not have crazy
temperature swings.
