TODAY'S DEVELOPMENTS

It's Fed day—and it's a big one. The central bank faces one of its hardest calls
in years: keep raising rates to fight inflation or hold steady to help quell the
worst banking crisis since 2008.

Stocks are little changed early Wednesday, with the major indexes making muted
downward moves.

The Fed decision hits at 2 p.m. ET. Chair Jerome Powell speaks at 2:30 p.m. ET.

It's not all quiet ahead of the Fed. GameStop, the original meme stock, rocketed
in early trading after reporting a surprise profit.
