We believe that following Jesus leads us to a place of uncommon unity where we
lay aside the labels that usually divide us for something much more life giving.

To embrace our unity and live it out in the real world, it’s not enough to
simply say we’re different. We must BE different. At HSC, you’ll find a safe
place for people of every race, gender, age, and background. People and
relationships were important to Jesus, so they are important to us; we invite
you to experience the HSC difference in action!

We believe that God made you on purpose and for a purpose. Following Jesus in

PASTOR CHRIS + SUSAN BEATTY

 

Chris and Susan have a heart for the local church and to serve families
throughout Anne Arundel County. Together, they dream of the big things God will
do through HSC, and they celebrate the amazing things God has already done.
Having been at HSC through all her seasons, they are in awe of the faithfulness
of God throughout the life of His church here at HSC. Chris and Susan have
watched as God has sustained His church over the years, and they’re honored and
humbled to serve HSC and God’s people alongside so many talented leaders.

 

Chris is from a mixed family (one Catholic parent and one Methodist parent) and
graduated from Regent University, while Susan grew up attending a Baptist
Church. Between them, they’ve attended and served in churches of every
denomination and flavor imaginable. They truly believe that the local church is
the hope of the world. Chris and Susan take no credit for themselves – they give
the glory for any success in their lives to the providence and grace of God who
has consistently brought amazingly gifted people into their lives time after
time. They want you to discover your identity in Jesus, and the freedom of
following Him.

 

Chris and Susan have three grown children: two daughters, one son.
