Our gyms are kitted out with the latest, quality equipment. State-of-the-art
Life Fitness machines with interactive screens, Woodway Curve treadmills,
Concept 2 rowing machines, Wattbikes, Octane Elipticals, SkiErgs and much, much
more – if you’re here for cardio training we’ve got it covered.

If weight training is more your thing, you’ll love our range of free weights and
weight resistance machines. Train with dumbbells, barbells, weight plates and
kettlebells to suit all levels, complemented by industry leading racks, benches
and lifting platforms. And if you’re new to strength training, our resistance
machines are the ideal place to get started with less stress on the body.

Plus, you can really mix up your training routine with our functional training
areas. Boost your power by jumping onto a Plyobox, get your legs pumping on our
sled tracks or enjoy a full body workout with the numerous options offered by

PERSONAL TRAINING AT DAVID LLOYD CLUBS

There’s also much more to our gyms than simply an amazing range of high-class
gym equipment. Take a more tailored approach with 1-2-1 sessions provided by our
expert Personal Trainers, who can take your gym experience to the next level and
ensure you remain motivated towards reaching your goals.

Plus, as part of our extensive group exercise programme, our coaches also run
quick-fire group sessions based in the gym, using various pieces of equipment to
keep participants on their toes during high-octane classes. And if that’s not
enough, we’ve also introduced DELTA, a brand new group personal training option,
to a number of our Clubs, giving you an extra way to train.

David Lloyd Clubs also offers 1-2-1 and group training in the swimming pool too.

FAMILY GYM

We know that working out and spending time together as a family can be difficult
to balance. At David Lloyd Clubs, our family-friendly approach gives you the
perfect opportunity to be together whilst staying health and active.

Children aged 10+ are encouraged to take part in our Gym Start Up programme,
which provides a simple introduction to various pieces of gym equipment to
ensure that they are comfortable in using the gym safely and appropriately for
their size and age. Following the completion of this induction, children are
free to use the gym when accompanied by a parent or guardian for a family gym
session.

Teenagers aged 16 and above can use the gym freely with no supervision. Our
Fitness into Teens programme is designed to allow our younger members to
progress from structured, closely supervised activities towards options that
give them more freedom to do their own thing.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE GYM

If you’re new to the gym or have spent time away and are keen to get back to a
regular routine, our friendly team are always available to make you feel
comfortable and confident in the gym.

When you become a member, you’ll receive a welcome pack which contains
information about our gym facilities. You’ll undergo a full gym induction which
is designed to help you to understand how to use each piece of equipment safely
and effectively. You can also access a range of tips, programmes and plans via
the David Lloyd Clubs app, including lots of workouts designed to help your
conditioning for specific sports such as running, tennis and cycling.

Whenever you come to the gym, remember to bring a water bottle, wear
comfortable, lightweight clothing and ensure you wear trainers that fit well and
give you the necessary level of support.
