THE YAK SHAVER'S CREED

This is my yak. There are many like it,
but this one is mine.

My yak is my best friend. It is my life.
I must shave it as I shaved the one
before.

Without me, my yak is hairy. Without my
yak, I am productive. I must shave my
yak cleaner than the previous yak.

I must shave him before his hair grows
back. I will...

My yak and I know that what counts in
code is not the lines we write, the
cycles we burn, nor the data we process.
We know that it is the hair that counts.
We will shave...

My yak is human, even as I, because it
is my life. Thus, I will learn it as a
brother. I will learn its weakness,
its strength, its parts, its hooves,
its horns, and its hair. I will get my
yak shaven, even as the last was shaven.
We will become part of each other. We
will...

Before Finagle, I swear this creed. My
yak and I are the productivity blockers.
We are the unpassable wall. We are
holding up release. So be it, until the
code is shipped and there is no yak,
only hair!
