5 WEBSITES THAT PAY $60–$500 FOR MENTAL HEALTH ARTICLES

Paid opportunities to help grow your freelance writing career online

Photo by Amelia Bartlett on Unsplash

Mental health and psychology are popular niches for writers. As a result,
competition is tough, and it can be hard to find paid opportunities. Many sites
offer unpaid guest post opportunities which are great for marketing your
business, but not so good for paying the bills. After scouring the web and
conducting some research, I’d like to share my results with you here.

Below is a list of mental health/ psychology blogs that pay per article, as well
as details about rates, article length, eligibility, and how to submit.

1. INTROVERT, DEAR

Introvert, Dear is one of my favorite blogs, and they are actively accepting
submissions. As the name suggests, their blog is dedicated to introverts, and
receives 2 million views a month! Topics include relationships, personality,
career, and the science behind introversion.

Pay: $75 USD or a call-to-action at the end of your article.

Writer Criteria: No criteria stated, but it helps if you are an introvert.

Submission Process: Introvert, Dear provide a Google Doc template to edit and
submit. They state you should hear back within 4–6 weeks of submission but they
took considerably longer to publish my first article.

Article length: 1,000 words to 1,700 words. Articles focused on the science or
psychology behind introversion can be longer, and articles specifically about
introverted Myers-Briggs personality types can be up to 2,100 words.

Chance to become a regular contributor: Yes. Just add 3 extra article ideas at
the top of your first submission.

publication for highly sensitive people in the world. Topics include Love and
Dating, career, parenting, and the science behind HSPs.

Pay: $60 USD or a call-to-action at the end of your article.

Writer Criteria:

 * Highly Sensitive People (HSPs)
 * Therapists, Researchers, or other experts on HSPs
 * Authors and bloggers who write about HSPs

Submission Process: Highly Sensitive Refuge provides a Google Doc template to
edit and submit. They aim to respond within 6–8 weeks of submission.

Article length: 1,000 words to 1,700 words. Articles focused on the science or
psychology behind HSPs can be longer.

Chance to become a regular contributor: Yes (once a month)
