seamless, professional, and exceeded all my expectations.

The initial consultation was informative and transparent. Boston Solar provided
a thorough analysis of my energy needs and designed a system tailored to my

We just had solar panels installed on our house in Stoneham, MA. When getting
multiple quotes for solar installation, Boston Solar had both competitive
pricing, high quality panels, and did a great job of explaining in detail their
design and installation process. They walked us through the virtual maps used to
generate an effective solar installation for our house, how each panel would
perform given the various shade and sun angles, the tradeoffs of different
panels, various set ups that we could think about, and what the installation
process entails. They answered all our questions and followed up with different
quotes for different panel types and configurations. Overall it was very
informative, transparent, and easy to understand what we were buying.
The installation went very well, and every Boston Solar employee that came by
was helpful and respectful. While the time between installation and activation
was around 3 or 4 months, we knew this in advance and understood the process
will take some time. There were no issues on our end, which is great to report
given the number of steps involved.
Overall we had an excellent experience with Boston Solar and would recommend it
to others.

We are very pleased with the experience we’ve had so far with Boston Solar.
Throughout the entire process, everyone we have been working with has been
polite, professional, knowledgeable and transparent. The communication between
us and the company has been phenomenal. The team is quick to reply to calls and
emails. The entire process took longer than we had expected before we started,
but expectations and timeframes were made clear during our first consultation
call and Boston Solar has adhered to those set expectations. We chose not to get
financing though the recommended provider but rather our own bank which added
time, but Boston Solar was flexible with this. Since we have an older house, we
were concerned that it might not support the weight of the system. Detailed
measurements of our house framing were taken at the start of the project and
reviewed by engineers. Appropriate enhancements to our framing were proposed,
discussed before the project moved forward and installed by Boston Solar. We
appreciate the peace of mind this process has given us. We’re happy with the
final product, especially the app with real time data from our system. We are
happy with our decision and would recommend Boston Solar to anybody in the area
interested in investing in solar.

We first contacted Boston Solar in September 2023 after checking many of the
other companies around, five in total.
We chose Boston Solar due to a friend referral.
After speaking to Ross Moore and going through the design process with him we
were confident that Boston Solar were the best choice. They were very approach
able, easy to understand, definitely not pushy and after comparing prices based
on KW installed very competitive.
After signing the contract the Project was passed over to Mali Cooper, who gave
a very detailed description of the whole ordering and installation process.
There was actually a contract change which made the overall project cheaper
after an onsite sun survey.
There were some complications along the way. In fact after the initial site roof
survey, which advised the roof was ok, It was then determined by the installers
on the day, the roof infact had a problem.
This wasn't overly unexpected, in fact it was more surprising the survey said it
was ok in the first place. Thankfully we were able to get a good price to reroof
including a lot of deck boards by using a company recommended, Greater Boston
Roofing. The only real problem was the obvious installation date which delayed
going live and producing power. Mali and Ross along with the roofing company all
did their best to minimize the delay as much as possible. We had regular
updates.
Eversource were also excellent with communication and timing.
There was an issue when the panels went live with some panels not reporting
properly. Both Boston Solar and Enphase worked together to resolve the issues
over a week or so and it was a reporting issue rather than a production issue.
I'm now confident that what is reporting reflects what is being produced and
consumed.
The App for checking the solar array is very comprehensive and easy to navigate.
I like that it shows production, consumption and what is exported in real time.
I would highly recommend Boston Solar. All the staff from initial contact
through design, installation and final problem resolution have been excellent.
The fact that it's a local company to me with a long track record is also
reassuring. Coupled with a long warranty makes it the best of everything.
Obviously time will tell, but so far, so good.

Really great company to work with. They installed 41 panels pretty quickly and
even installed an EV charger for me. It only took a few months to plan, finance,
and install everything. They seem like they'll be around for a while and they
don't outsource anything. They came highly recommended on Reddit and it was

My experience with Boston Solar has been exceptional, particularly with sales
consultant Jake C. and project manager Katherine D. It's important to note that
one's experience may vary depending on the individuals assigned to your project.
That said, Jake did an excellent job explaining the pros and cons of the
different designs we were considering. Once my partner and I agreed on a design,
Katherine guided us through the rest of the journey, which involved a series of
engineers, electricians, and surveyors coming to our home to install solar
panels and an EV charger. The entire process took about four months from the
initial consultation to the final inspection, with an effective two months from
agreeing on the solar design to activating the system. Beyond the installation,
I believe Boston Solar is well-organized, given the number of clients they
handle, and I never felt like a secondary priority throughout the entire
process.
