JOB DESCRIPTION
ROLE OVERVIEW:
As an InfoSec Specialist, you will lead cloud security efforts as part of
McAfee’s SOC, which is the first line of defense. You will use various defense
tools to conduct investigations, build threat detection rules, help strengthen
security controls, and drive cross-functional team efforts with a
customer-oriented approach to ensure that a secure workspace is provided to
McAfee’s workforce.
This is a remote position in India. We will only consider candidates currently
in India and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.
About the role:
* Lead content and process development for existing and new cyber defense
tools; Lead the creation and validation of signatures or indicators of
compromise (IOCs), which can be implemented on cyber defense network tools in
response to new or observed threats.
* Enhance workflows for cloud-native (security and logging) tools like GCP,
AWS, Azure, etc.
* Experience in designing, configuring, and deploying cloud security services
such as Azure log analytics, Azure Security Center, and MCAS.
* Notify SOC managers and cyber incident responders of suspected cyber
incidents and articulate the event's history, status, and potential impact
for further action in accordance with the cyber incident response plan and
procedures.
* Monitor external data sources (e.g., cyber defense vendor sites, computer
emergency response teams, Security Focus) to maintain the currency of cyber
defense threat conditions and determine which security issues may have an
impact on the enterprise.
About You:
* Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience leading efforts during one or
more phases of the incident response lifecycle.
* Application of cybersecurity principles and risk management basics to
mitigate risk.
* Expertise in Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps and Defender for Endpoints.
* Cloud security monitoring: detection and response (AWS, GCP, and Azure).
* Preferred certifications: GCIH, GCFA, CEH, Network+, Security+, cloud service
provider certifications, or equivalent industry standard certifications.
* Flexible to work UK or US shifts.
