Palantir Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP) enables new and existing
customers to dramatically accelerate high-value AI use cases. To meet the
intense requirements of the moment, we have introduced AIP Bootcamps. In these
immersive, hands-on-keyboard sessions, participants can expect to go from zero
to use case in just one to five days.

The results speak for themselves. Our partners have been able to solve problems
that they have been struggling with for years in a matter of days. They are able
to build their own intuition and skillset to be able to independently identify
and execute on AIP use cases in subsequent weeks. AIP Bootcamps are also fun for
all involved, as winning tends to be.

We have a growing backlog of AIP Bootcamps due to the overwhelming demand. In
order to make the most of the time we do have together, I wanted to share some
early learnings about why our partners are finding these sessions to be so
effective.




WHY IT WORKS

No barriers to entry. AIP comes fully integrated and interoperable; it’s
enterprise-grade software that’s equipped to handle your most sensitive data and
primed for your fingertips. AI use cases require a thoughtful blending of
stochastic foundation models, calculus-driven enterprise data and tools, and
expert feedback loops. AIP Bootcamp participants spend 100% of their time
engineering value, not assembling parts.

Learn to fish, eat a fish. An AIP Bootcamp isn’t about abstract learning or
using pre-baked apps. Bootcamps enable participants to tackle their real use
cases today while developing the intuition and skills to build independently
moving forward. Plan to do both.

Move from chat to automation. Molded by initial experiences with GPT-4, many
start with the mental model of a chat-style experience. But AIP Bootcamp
participants very quickly realize that the non-algorithmic compute potential of
the AI revolution reaches far beyond chat. When participants build with prompts
derived from real world events translated through the Ontology — not only user
input — they become exceptionally creative and ambitious. At AIP Bootcamps,
they’re developing intelligence that automates processes and provides
intelligent primitives for feature-rich business applications.

Make your AI your own. Our customers have substantial intellectual property
locked in unstructured data repositories and the minds of their talented
employees. AIP allows them to immediately incorporate expert-driven feedback
loops with applications that meet the experts where they are as they execute
their work. This tight coupling allows them to immediately create unique
intellectual property and competitive advantage in their own AI, from their most
valuable assets, on day one.

Define your AI architecture empirically. Many of the discussions at AIP
Bootcamps center around building mental models for AI itself. How many LLMs
should we use? When should we use commercial providers? When can we use open
source? When should we fine tune? How far can we get with prompt engineering?
How do I effectively integrate AI with other enterprise assets like data,
models, and automations? How do we structure effective learning loops to make AI
more valuable over time? Of course, it depends on the use case. The correct
technical approach that balances time, cost, efficacy, control, and improvement
over time has to be empirical, not theological. And the best way to learn is to
follow the shortest possible path to getting initial use cases into production
while maintaining technical optionality. We’re seeing customers discover and
redefine target architectures based on their empirical experiences of getting
those initial use cases up and running.

Any industry, any function. AIP is driving value from the shop floor to the
boardroom. At AIPCon earlier this month, I walked through 50+ examples of how
organizations have deployed AIP to drive bottom line impact across virtually
every function in dozens of industries in a few short months. The use cases are
as compelling as they are diverse. Bootcamps are not just for PhDs or computer
scientists.



To bring these concepts to life, I wanted to share a few example AIP use cases
that we’ve seen from our customers, many of which were developed at AIP
Bootcamps:

 1.  Dynamic Scheduling. Deploy AIP to optimize complex scheduling of
     cross-functional activities. AIP is helping optimize flight adjustments,
     train routing, and healthcare provider schedules.
 2.  Underwriting. Transform commercial underwriting processes with AIP by
     streamlining human review, seamlessly integrating with underwriting
     guidelines, and integrating with live views of portfolio risk.
 3.  Sales and Marketing. Leverage AIP for lead triage, context-aware targeted
     marketing, order management, and next best action workflows.
 4.  Procurement. AIP can identify cost saving opportunities, decompose cost
     drivers, automate negotiation strategies, and optimize procurement cycles.
     Palantir itself is using AIP to manage contracts and integrate knowledge
     seamlessly into operations.
 5.  Supply Chain. AIP can transform supply chain management across diverse
     industries by continuously synthesizing the state of complex networks and
     allowing organizations to manage supply chain disruptions by processing
     inbound signals, identifying potential remediations, and suggesting
     automated fixes.
 6.  Systems Consolidation and Harmonization. AIP gives IT departments the
     technical leverage to finally master enterprise system and data entropy.
     Applications include master data management, material and customer
     harmonization, and disparate ERP stack integration.
 7.  Customer Service. AIP not only provides AI-driven support for customer
     service agents, but also allows frontline users to wield the entirety of
     the enterprise data landscape, including contracts, product usage, and
     customer information. AIP also seamlessly captures expert feedback to
     create an experience that improves every day.
 8.  Infrastructure Projects and Management. AIP helps companies delivering
     major infrastructure projects reduce delays and accelerate delivery by
     extending continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) principles into the
     physical world. AIP integrates design, engineering, and operating assets
     into a synthesized dependency model.
 9.  Quality and Claims Management. AIP parses, categorizes, and connects claims
     and defects from warranty claims to insurance claims to machine defects.
     The system allows for rapid triage, root cause, and remediation efforts.
 10. Front Line Engineers & Operators. Put AIP in the hands of front-line
     engineers and technicians to help streamline workflows, diagnose issues,
     and optimize repairs out in the field.
 11. Hospital Operations. AIP can be applied to hospital operations, from
     predictive nurse staffing to patient bed placement.
