Set in the heart of Scotland, Ballathie House Hotel’s setting could not be more
romantic – nestling on the banks of the River Tay, surrounded by 900 acres of
private Estate. An unique venue, Ballathie offers an intimate and elegant choice
for starting married life in style.

Ballathie House has been the country house retreat for generations of guests and
we pride ourselves on our long history of looking after guests – a tradition we
are delighted to be continuing as a four star luxury hotel with a 2AA rosette
award winning fine dining restaurant.

Having won the prestigious CIS Hotel of the year Award (2014 – 2015), and a
previous winner of Best Country House Wedding Venue in consecutive years,
Ballathie is a 4 star luxury hotel within a Grade ‘A’ listed building, just a
short drive from the city of Perth, less than an hour from Edinburgh Airport.

The hotel is full of traditional opulence, with classic style and very warm
Scottish hospitality. Driving down the hotel’s enchanting tree lined drive, your
first glimpse of the hotel’s turrets and towers offers all the fairytale
grandeur of a dream wedding.

We will only ever accept one wedding on any given day, as we believe it is
paramount that you and your guests have our undivided attention throughout your
special day.

Head Chef, Scott Scorer masterminds seasonal local produce to produce simply
stunning food, we can tailor-make a menu to your personal taste, your budget,
taking into consideration the time of the year.

Marriage ceremonies can take place in the hotel’s drawing room, in the grounds
overlooking the magnificent River Tay, in a quaint country church just a few
miles from Ballathie, or a few miles further north, in the grandiose Dunkeld
Cathedral.

We can accommodate weddings of up to 90 guests for your ceremony and wedding
breakfast. For larger celebrations, a marquee can be set up in our stunning
grounds.

The hotel has 53 bedrooms in total – 25 bedrooms in the Main House, 16 rooms in
our Riverside building and a further 12 Sportsman’s Lodges.

The fabulous Gardens, manicured Lawns and Woodland that surround the Hotel
offers an exclusive photo opportunity, not to mention a fabulous setting for
summer drinks reception for your guests, whilst you have wedding photographs
taken.

Exclusive use of the main house is required at certain times of the year – the
Ultimate country house wedding.
