SAYS

SECRETARY OF DEFENSE LLOYD J. AUSTIN III ISSUED A RECENT MESSAGE TO THE FORCE
THAT EMPHASIZED THE DEFENSE DEPARTMENT'S COMMITMENT TO A PROFESSIONAL, ORDERLY
AND CALM TRANSITION TO THE NEXT COMMANDER IN CHIEF, THE PENTAGON ANNOUNCED

Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III issued a recent message to the force
that emphasized the Defense Department’s commitment to a professional, orderly
and calm transition to the next commander in chief, the Pentagon announced
today.

In that message sent out Wednesday, “Secretary Austin reiterated that the U.S.
military will stand ready to carry out the policy choices of the next commander
in chief and to obey all lawful orders from a civilian

chain of command to defend the United States, our Constitution and the rights of
all American citizens,” Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh told the
media.

Singh also said Austin’s message reaffirmed the military will, “continue to
stand apart from the political arena; to stand guard over our republic with
principle and professionalism; and to stand together with the valued allies and
partners who deepen our security.”

She added that, as the transition will be getting underway soon, the defense
secretary has expressed a deep sense of pride in and appreciation for both the
Defense Department’s civilian workforce and all service members stationed
stateside and deployed around the world.

FEDERAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS ASSOCIATION CONGRATULATES PRESIDENT-ELECT TRUMP
AND EMPHASIZES IMPORTANCE OF LAW AND DEMOCRACY

The Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association is extending its
congratulations to President-elect Donald J. Trump, and is extending its thanks
to local and state election officials across the country for their role in
safeguarding the right to vote for all, and aiding Americans to cast their votes
in record numbers this election.

FLEOA also extends its congratulations to Vice President Kamala Harris on
running a spirited campaign and gaining the support of many Americans.

Democracy itself requires fierce competition in free and fair elections, and
regardless of political party, it is positive for our democracy to see
experienced leaders debate solutions on problems that Americans face.

“Americans of all persuasions have expressed their voice through our election
process,” FLEOA President Mat Silverman said of the contest.

“With our next president elected, I encourage states, counties and cities to
uphold the rule of law, the peaceful right to assembly, and a lawful transition
to the new administration.”

All citizens of our country now deserve to have their interests represented in
the White House and in Congress. Americans of all political persuasions spoke
about their continuing desire for public safety and continued support of law

HOLCIM US AND DETROIT WAYNE COUNTY PORT WIN GRANT FOR EPA'S CLEAN PORTS PROGRAM

Holcim, in close partnership with the Detroit Wayne County Port Authority
(DWCPA), was awarded a grant through the United States Environmental Protection
Agency’s (EPA) Clean Ports program. The joint grant supports the Detroit Port
Authority’s broader Zero-Emission Technology Deployment program to accelerate
the decarbonization of the port and improve the air quality for residents and
workers.

In making this transformation and as one of the selected terminal recipients,
partial grant funds have been allocated for the purchase of new electric
equipment at the Holcim Detroit

Terminal, in addition to a one-acre solar array to charge these vehicles.

“Holcim is honored to have been a trusted partner with the Detroit Wayne County
Port Authority in developing a successful application for the EPA’s Clean Ports
program,” said Jaime Hill, North America region head for Holcim. “This funding
helps us expedite our ability to meet our commitments of lowering our carbon
footprint and move our operations here in Detroit into the future and as part of
our commitment to a net zero future.”

Our mission to protect the environment directly coincides with the DWCPA’s
broader program to decarbonize the entire port of Detroit by cutting air
pollution from equipment operating at port terminals and docks. The grant will
fund a portion of the acquisition costs of battery-electric forklift trucks,
cranes, electric railcar movers, boats and motors, as well as the installation
of charging equipment and solar panels in the Port. The multifaceted grant

PLATTS TO BOOST TRANSPARENCY IN GLOBAL PORK MARKET WITH NEW DAILY PRICE
ASSESSMENTS STARTING NOVEMBER 1

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will enhance transparency in the
global pork market with the launch of daily spot physical price assessments for
pork in Europe and North Asia, effective November 1.

According to S&P Global Commodity Insights, global pork consumption has steadily
grown to the current rate of about 118.3 million metric tons per year and is
expected to continue an upward trajectory. Globally, pork continues to be the
protein of choice across Asia and the Caribbean and makes up 40% of global per
capita consumption and 68.6% of consumption in China.

The Platts EU Pork Marker (EUPM) will reflect the spot physical value of frozen
pork belly (bacon) on a Free Carrier (FCA) basis, Barcelona, Spain, while the
Pork Belly Cost and Freight (CFR) North Asia assessment will focus on frozen
pork belly delivered

on a cost and freight basis to Busan, South Korea. These new price references
build on the suite of protein price assessments launched for chicken, beef, and
seafood earlier in the year, providing critical insights for stakeholders in the
largest export markets and top importing regions.

Platts’ deeper expansion into proteins significantly enhances transparency
across the wider food value chain, and extends its existing coverage of animal
feeds, including grains and oilseeds. This launch means Platts delivers a
comprehensive spectrum of cross-market price fundamentals and insights,
empowering customers to make more informed decisions.
