How much is a U of space on a rack?

A rack unit (commonly referred to as a "U") is a standard measure of the height
of a device in a server rack. One rack unit is 44.45 mm (1.75 in) high. The
height of a one rack unit device is described as 1U, a two rack unit device as
2U and so on.

Is this cabinet compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security
Standard (PCI)?

Yes. All of Tripp Lite's Cabinets are PCI-Compliant. Sturdy steel panels

What is an IEC rack enclosure rating?

The IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) uses a two digit code to

What does the IP rating on this product mean?

IP stands for "Ingress Protection" and defines levels of sealing against
moisture, dust and other foreign bodies. IP 54 - Protected against dust and
splashing water IP 66 - Protected against dust and powerful jets of water IP 67
- Protected against dust and water immersion IP 68 - Protected against dust and
submersion in water for a period of time

How much heat does a server rack produce?

It's important to ensure that the server rack is properly cooled, and cold
airflow is sufficient to prevent overheating and equipment failure. If you plan
on buying a portable or in-rack air conditioner, and need to know how much
cooling power you need, here are some helpful tips.

The amount of heat that a server rack produces depends on the type of equipment
in the rack, the number of devices installed, and the workload of the equipment.
As a general rule, a fully loaded server rack can produce anywhere between 4 and
20 kilowatts of heat.
