FAQs

I have filled evaluation form on website/app. How do I know if have been
approved as Astu Peer?

Generally, it takes 24hrs for approval. Once approved you will receive
notification on chat and email.

How can you use Astu App?

There are 2 ways in which you can use the app. Normal User: Sign in and start
using the app to talk and share on the topic of your choice. Astu Peer: Become
an Astu Peer and start using the app as per the policy chat guidelines of Astu
Peer

As an Astu Peer how I know when people want to chat with me?

Once approved you will start receiving requests. To avoid spams, we will only
send request as per Notification Time slot selected in the profile section.

I got a notification for a chat request but I don’t see any once i open the app,
where do I find them?

If you get a notification but don’t see any chat requests, this means that it
has already been picked up by another Astu Peer.

What if someone does not need support and would just like to chat?

Astu promotes chat and connections over the chat if both users are comfortable
with the it. Sometimes all you want is someone to talk and share.

How long does the average chat last?

There is a chat timer which indicates the duration of the chat room. If you want
to leave the chat room before the set time, be polite about it and end the chat.

What is Connections and how do I start one?

After a live chat, the user can send Invite Request. Once request is approved by
user, permanent chat channel is created between the two users in the Connection
Section in Home Screen.

What if Astu Peer need personal support and need to talk to other Astu Peer?

As an Astu Peer you can always use the app to chat with other Astu Peers. Use
Chat feature in the Home Screen and we will connect you with other peers just
like you. Additionally, as a community lead you can always talk directly to the
internal team members for your queries through Slack or email.

What kind of things i can talk about?

There are various topics to pick from. Some are career, relationship,
spirituality and philosophy. We have peers to chat on the topic you wish. We
priorities your comfort.

I am worried about my personal information getting collected. Is it safe here?

Never worry about that. We assure that none of your personal details are
collected or shared with any third party. People only know the information that
you share with them over the chat
