WOMEN TO WATCH AWARDS

Celebrating the movers-and-shakers, the disruptors, the inspirations for
successes to come

WILMA’s annual Women to Watch Awards spotlights regional women who are the
movers-and-shakers, the disruptors, the inspirations for successes to come.

The awards are open to those who live or work in the New Hanover, Brunswick or
Pender counties. Individuals can nominate a colleague/friend or apply
themselves.

Finalists are selected in the following categories: Arts, Business, Education,
Health, Nonprofit/Volunteer, Public Sector and Rising Stars.

WILMA’s Women to Watch Awards
September 6, 2024
5:30-10:00pm
Wilmington Convention Center

THE AGENDA:

5:30-6:30pm – Cocktail hour includes open bar with wine, beer and appetizers

6:30 – 7:30pm – Awards program

7:30-10pm – Food stations open, bars reopen, live music and the dance floor will
be waiting!


ABOUT THE AWARDS

Our annual Women to Watch Awards celebrates the women making an impact on our
community. Thirty-five women are selected as finalists each year by an outside
panel of judges. Finalists are featured in the Fall issue of WILMA, digitally on
WILMAmag.com, on WILMA’s social media platforms and recognized at WILMA’s annual
Women to Watch Awards event. The seven category winners are also announced at
the event, which will be held on Sept. 6 at the Wilmington Convention Center.

Nominations are now closed. 2025 applications will open in April 2025.

Arts

Business
Public Sector
Nonprofit / Volunteer
Rising Star (Under 30)

The rising star category is limited to women under 30. Nominee must turn 30
after September 6, 2024.

The public sector category recognizes women who work in the area’s public
service sector – public safety agencies, local and state government, military,
etc.

Individuals can nominate someone or apply themselves. The awards are open to
those who live or work in New Hanover, Brunswick or Pender counties.
