firsthand insights into how cutting-edge digital healthcare technologies are
applied in real-world settings. Experience the advanced medical systems and
innovative management practices that are shaping the future of global healthcare
up close.

※ The designated departure and assembly point for hospital visits is COEX.
Transportation will be provided via shuttle buses, with specific buses assigned
to each hospital. Departure times will vary depending on the hospital and will
be communicated separately to registered participants.

※ Please note that the following schedule is subject to change based on the
Secretariat’s operational requirements. Final notifications will be issued
separately to registered participants.

THE CATHOLIC UNIV. OF KOREA SEOUL ST.MARY'S HOSPITAL

Introduction
Catholic Medical Center(CMC) is a medical institution founded in the spirit of
holistic healing inspired by the love of Jesus Christ for patients suffering
from illnesses.
Currently, CMC has established the largest medical network in Korea, with the
Catholic University College of Medicine, College of Nursing, and 8 affiliated
hospitals, including Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital, comprising about 6,400 beds.
CMC has established the Information Convergence Institute, an IT organization,
with the vision of becoming a leader in future healthcare innovation.
Notably, Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital, the main hospital of the CMC, is at the
forefront of the digital healthcare ecosystem both domestically and
internationally, having recorded a score of 310 in the HIMSS DHI Assessments.
The tour of Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital is scheduled for the morning of October
1st and will be conducted in a way that does not affect hospital operations.

Introduction

Seoul National University Hospital has faithfully fulfilled its role as the
nation’s central hospital for 139 years, leading the medical field in South
Korea. In the digital healthcare sector, it established ‘EZCareTech,’ the
largest medical ICT company in Korea, which holds the largest market share in
HIS. Additionally, by integrating SK Telecom’s technology, it founded ‘Health
Connect’ to develop various ICT-based smart hospital solutions. From an
infrastructure perspective, it was the first in Korea to establish a private
cloud platform in the healthcare field. This platform operates not only HIS and
PACS but also all hospital information systems on an external IDC-based SDDC
(Software-Defined Data Center). Through these initiatives, Seoul National
University Hospital is proactively introducing a variety of digital healthcare
solutions and infrastructure to provide innovative medical services, enhance

Introduction

Yonsei University Health System (YUHS) was founded in 1885 as the first modern
medical institution in Korea. Originally named Kwanghyewon, the name was later
changed to Chejungwon and then Severance Hospital. As the hospital expanded over
the years, the YUHS was born.

YUHS is comprised of 3 colleges (Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing), 2 graduate
schools (Public Health and Nursing), and 13 Hospitals (Severance Hospital,
Gangnam·Yongin Severance Hospital, Yonsei Cancer Hospital, etc.).

Severance Hospital, the main hospital of the YUHS received the JCI accreditation
for the first time in Korea, and is the nation’s first hospital to introduce
robotic surgical system. And the first hospital to start Heavy Ion Therapy in
Korea.

We are striving to fulfill its mission statement of “With the love of God, we
will free humankind from disease and suffering,” and will reinforce its position
