Bradley R. staAts Brad Staats is an award winning teacher and researcher who integrates work in operations management and human behavior to understand how and under what conditions individuals, teams, and organizations can perform their best. His research uses archival data and field experiments to provide an interdisciplinary perspective that contributes to improving operations in the healthcare, technology, and service industries. He works with many companies around the world on their learning and analytics strategies. He not only researches and teaches on these topics, but also works to apply them as an accomplished academic administrator. He serves as the Senior Associate Dean of Strategy and Academics at UNC Kenan-Flagler where he oversees the undergraduate, MBA, and Master of Accounting (MAC) programs, digital transformation of course development and teaching excellence through the Faculty Consulting Group as well as academic centers, including Energy, Family Enterprise, Healthcare, Investment Management, Real Estate, Sustainability and STAR Consulting. Prior to that he served as Associate Dean of MBA Programs where he helped lead the full-time, evening, weekend, Charlotte (launched in 2022) and online MBA programs through COVID and curricular transformation to build greater inclusion and ties to industry. In addition, he founded and leads the UNC Center for the Business of Health, an interdisciplinary initiative that brings together expertise across UNC to drive significant impact within higher education, the healthcare industry, and ultimately in the lives of individuals and communities.
