FAQ

Why is TikFinity not connecting to my stream?

If you get an error, make sure that your username is spelled correctly, and that
you are currently live streaming when connecting TikFinity to your live stream.
Also make sure that you have entered your @-handle and not your display name!
You can configure TikFinity without being connected.

Minecraft Connection Error: Could not connect to the specified IP and Port:

Make sure you opened the run.bat file on your pc and that your Minecraft Server
is running. Also make sure that you have installed the ServerTap plugin. If you
are hosting your server externally, make sure the IP Address is correct and that
port 4567 is opened on the external server. Here is a tutorial on how to set up

Why are my Alerts not working? My Sound Effects won't play in my stream.

If your alerts are not working and your sound effects won't play in your live
stream, make sure you have set them up in your Actions & Events. Once you
created the Action, and it is connected to an event, look at the Action and
reconfirm what Screen the Action plays on. Add that Screen to your TikTok Live
Studio or OBS Scene as Link Source. You can test the actions by pressing the
"Play" aka "Test" button. If you use the Sound Effect Feature for alerts on your
phone, make sure you keep the TikFinity open.

My Screens are offline?

If your Screens are being shown as offline inside of TikFinity, please reconfirm
if you have added them to your TikTok Live Studio or OBS Scene as a Link
Source/Browser Source. If you have added them correctly, it will show you that
the Screens are now online. If there are still problems, restart TikFinity and
Live Studio or try to add the link source again.

Is there a word filter for the Text-To-Speech feature?

No, TikFinity currently doesn’t offer a word filter for the Text-To-Speech
voice. However, you can use Tiktoks built-in word filter and it will filter out
inappropriate messages for you. It also makes sense to limit TTS to the top
supporters or subscribers and to set a User Cooldown.

What are Actions & Events?

Actions and Events are the fundamentals of TikFinity! You can set up On-Screen
Alerts, Sound Effects, and many more features. You can trigger Actions using
Events, which will run your Actions based on different triggers (specific gift
sent, likes sent, user joined, and more). It offers you countless possibilities
to make your stream interactive. Webhooks for controlling smart devices is just
the beginning.

Can I use TikFinity on my phone?

Yes! Sound Alerts work on your phone! Just make sure you have TikFinity opened
and you should hear your sound effects.

How do I make it so that X happens (Minecraft)

While some of our Staff can help you with basic Minecraft commands and features,
we advise you to do your own research based on what you need. You can find
plenty of information for Minecraft commands, NBT tags, and much more. To
understand the setup of your Minecraft Server using TikFinity we recommend you
to check out Harry / Mojo’s Video where he explains everything step by step.

Can I obtain a Stream Key from TikTok and what are the requirements?

Currently, there are no set requirements to obtain an official Stream Key by
TikTok. TikTok issues Streamkeys to Creators that positively got TikTok's
attention. They will reach out to you. There also are some Agencies that can
request a Stream Key for you.

Why are my live streams being limited / why do I receive a warning in my live
streams?

The TikTok Algorithm always changes and there are no clear rules on what is
causing limitations or warnings in your livestreams except for the ToS. A few
basic rules we were able to establish as a community were the following:

 1. Don’t / rarely mention gifting, liking, or other interactions of your live
    streams. TikTok detects these and can flag your stream as „non-genuine
    Interactions“
 2. Don’t use images of TikTok gifts. (Some users got around these restrictions
    by mirroring the images, or obscuring them in another way.)
 3. Do not show the word „follow“, „like“ or similar words in your streams. You
    will be warned for the same reason as No.1.

Minecraft: How do I connect TikFinity and Minecraft?
 1. Download Java 17 and Minecraft.
 2. Set up a PaperMC Server.
 3. Install the ServerTap Plugin.
 4. Open the „Setup“ section of Tikfinity. Scroll down to where you find
    „Minecraft Connection“.
 5. Enter your Server IP (if you are hosting the server externally.) or type
    „127.0.0.1“. (if you are hosting the server locally on your PC). Don’t
    change the port and the password.
 6. Click on „Test Connection“ and you should see that the connection has been
    established successfully. (If it isn't working, make sure you opened the
    run.bat file of your server and that the server is running)
 7. To create interactions with your game, all you do now is go to your Actions
    & Events and create your desired Actions. Check „Exec Minecraft Command“ and
    enter the command. Then you just bind it to an action and you have set up
    your first interaction!

Minecraft: How can I spawn multiple TNT at once?

This is very easy to do with the following TNT command generator:

After you have opened the website you only have to set the FuzeTime (the time in
ticks (20 ticks = 1 second) until the TNT explodes) as well as the number of
TNTs and after a small change you can now use the generated command in
TikFinity. Important: In order for the command to work in TikFinity, you only
have to add execute at PLAYERNAME run at the beginning of the generated command.
An example to spawn 2 TNTs at once: execute at PLAYERNAME run summon
area_effect_cloud ~ ~1 ~ {Passengers:[{id:tnt},{id:tnt}]}

Minecraft: I get this error when trying to join my Minecraft server: „Failed to
Verify Username"

This error occurs when the player cannot be verified on the Mojang session
servers. This is mostly the case when a player is using unofficial/cracked
versions of Minecraft (if not try restarting the game). To solve this problem
open the server.properties file which should be in the directory of your
Minecraft server and change the text (probably in line 23) from online-mode=true
to online-mode=false and you're done your problem should be solved!

Minecraft: Help! The console of my Minecraft server closes again directly when I
want to open it!

Be sure you have the latest Java version installed on your computer/server,
adjust the start script (e.g. by changing java to your Java directory) and check
if you have also adjusted it in the Java Home Environment

Minecraft: My server installed on the Pterodactyl Panel does not connect to
TikFinity!

Solution if you are the owner of the panel:

 1. Open the admin panel (for default:
    https://YOURPTERODACTYLPANELIPORADDRESS/admin)
 2. Go to Nodes and click on the Nodename of the server where your
    minecraft-server is hosted on
 3. Click on Allocation and Assign a New Allocation by setting the IP-Address
    (to the ip-address of the server) and the Ports to the ServerTap port (by
    default: 4567)
 4. Click on Submit and switch to the Servers section
 5. After switching click on the servername of your minecraft-server, click on
    Build Configuration, assign the ServerTap port (Assign Additional Ports) and
    click on Update Build Configuration
 6. Now you're ready to go! Just start/restart your pterodactyl-server and have
    fun with using TikFinity

Solution if you aren't the owner of the panel:

 1. Go to your Pterodactyl-Server and switch to Network
 2. Click on Create Allocation and set the port which should be added to the
    ServerTap port (by default: 4567)
 3. Now you're ready to go! Just start/restart your pterodactyl-server and have
    fun with using TikFinity
    If the Network-Section or the Create Allocation button does not appear
    please contact the owner of the panel and ask him for permission

OBS CONNECTION

You can control OBS via TikFinity to switch scenes and sources automatically on
certain events.
To do this use the options "Switch Scene" or "Activate Source" in your Actions.
This requires OBS 28 or newer!

In OBS click "Tools" > "WebSocket Server Settings" and enable the Websocket
Server.
Then click on "Show Connect Info" and enter the connection details here.
Please note that the IP is always 127.0.0.1 if OBS is running on the same system
as TikFinity.

Control Minecraft via TikFinity to summon Mobs or execute custom commands.

If you use the ServerTap plugin, you should enter your player name here to

Displays the chat from your TikTok stream.
Click on "Customize" to adjust the overlay to your needs.
Note: You should reduce the width of the overlay in the browser source to e.g.
400 pixels.




GIFT FEED

Lists the last received gifts.
Click on "Customize" to adjust the overlay to your needs.
Note: To reduce the distance between username and gift image you should reduce
the width in the browser source.




POINTS ANIMATION

This overlay displays the profile picture and the number of points won for each
transaction.




USER INFO SCREEN

When a user uses the Points Information command (!score), the result will be
displayed here.
This overlay is only relevant when the chatbot is not in use.




COMMAND INFO SCREEN

When a user uses other commands like the Points Transfer command, the result
will be displayed here.
You can customize and activate/deactivate the text snippets under Chatbot.
This overlay is only relevant when the chatbot is not in use.




MY ACTIONS

Shows your actions from the Events & Actions feature.

To prevent the animations from appearing blurry, you should not enlarge this
overlay
by dragging the boxes in OBS, instead adjust the resolution of the browser
source!

You can create up to 8 screens from this overlay, which you can position
differently.
On which screen the action appears, you can define in the respective Action.
Each screen has its own link!




WHEEL OF FORTUNE

When a viewer uses the Wheel of Fortune command, the animation appears over this
overlay.
Under Wheel of Fortune, you can specify additional settings.




TOP GIFTERS

A ranking of the viewers who spent the most coins in the current stream.
This overlay works better when using the Desktop App.




RANKING LIST

A list of the users with the most points.
This overlay is permanently displayed if you have users in your Points System.




POINTS DROP

Shows the coins from the Points Drop feature.




TIMER

Shows the countdown from the Timer feature.




SONG REQUESTS

Displays the playback queue of the Song Requests Feature.




SOUND ALERTS

Here you can play sounds on certain events like gifts or follows directly in
your browser. This feature is intended for people who
stream from mobile and can't use overlays. If you use OBS or Live Studio, use
the Actions & Events feature for more options.
If you map multiple sounds to the same trigger, a sound will be randomly picked.
Use mp3cut.net to trim your sounds.


Some sounds are currently disabled because your TikFinity Pro subscription has

Points Information Command
With the command !score, viewers can check their current score in the points
system. The user info screen overlay will display the user score and level.

Points Transfer
How does this command work?
Points Transfer Command
Viewers can send points of your currency to each other. These points are then
deducted from the sender and credited to the recipient. To do this, the command
must be written in the chat as follows:

!send Amount Receiver

Amount stands for the number of points to be transferred.
Receiver represents the target username.

Example: !send 10 zerody

... would send 10 points to the user 'zerody'.

Wheel of Fortune
How does this command work?
Wheel of Fortune Command
Viewers can use the command !spin to spin the Wheel of Fortune in your stream.
To use this, the Wheel of Fortune Overlay for OBS/LIVE Studio is required, which
you can find on the page "OBS Overlays". After the Wheel of Fortune stops, the
number of points won will be credited to the user. You can set the settings by
clicking on the cogwheel.

The Chatbot Feature is currently only available if you use the TikFinity Desktop
App or if you disable the Server-side TikTok Connection and install the Browser
Extension instead.
As an alternative to the Chatbot you can use the User Info Overlay and the
Command Info Overlay to show the command results in your stream.



Please keep in mind that your account is used to send chatbot messages. Make
sure that all messages comply with the TikTok rules, because you are responsible
for them! If you have problems with the chatbot, take a look at our
Troubleshooting Guide.

What does this setting mean?
The Wheel of Fortune
The Wheel of Fortune can be triggered by writing the command !spin. The viewer
receives a profit in the form of points after the animation ends. This profit or
the profit margin can be defined here.

Cost per spin
Here you can determine how many points will be deducted from the spectator when
the command is executed. If you want the Wheel of Fortune to be free, enter 0
here.

Maximum normal win
The Wheel of Fortune has 24 fields. Of these, two are rivets (no win) and 21
fields correspond to the winning margin between 1 and the entered value.

Main win.
One field contains the main prize. Enter the number of points to be won there.
This should be higher than the 'Maximum normal win'. The chance of winning is
1/24

Waiting time (minutes)
After a user has executed the !spin command, this field can be used to define
how long the spectator must wait until the next execution. If there should be no
waiting time, enter 0 here.

Requirements
 * TikTok Live Studio must be installed on this computer.
 * Your TokTok Account needs access to streaming via TikTok Live Studio.

Instructions
 1. Start your stream in Live Studio (Landscape or Portrait mode).
 2. Configure OBS to use the same resolution, bitrate and FPS.
 3. Click the Generate Key button and confirm all prompts.
 4. Copy the Server and Stream Key to OBS (Settings > Stream > Service: Custom)
 5. Start streaming from OBS.

Good to know
 * Live Studio Compatibility mode is not supported when streaming from OBS.
 * After key generation you have about 2 minutes to enter the key in OBS and
   start the stream. Meanwhile, your viewers will see an unstable connection
   warning.
 * The generated Server and Key is only valid for a single stream.
 * For a new stream you need to generate new data.
 * Never share the key with anyone else!


CHALLENGE

You can temporarily reset the points of all users to 0 to create a neutral entry
point in a challenge or contest.
When you finish the challenge, you can decide whether the points earned will be
discarded or added to the total score.
