We can improve FPS (frames per second), reduce or eliminate lag spikes, and reduce load times. Our team has worked on dozens of projects and 20+ published Unity titles. We effectively optimize for memory and performance on iOS, Android, Web, VR and similar resource-constrained platforms. By benchmarking and analyzing both your codebase and runtime performance on the target device(s), PlayBoost will identify the top areas of improvement. We’re happy to help new/junior teams with systemic issues or incrementally improve the framerate of your live-ops title. HOW IT WORKS 1. SEND REQUIREMENTS Read/Write access to the project's source control repository (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket). The project must be in a state where it will build to the target device. A direct line of communication to the development team (Slack, Discord, Teams) where I can ask questions about the project and the codebase. (Optional) A written description of where you would like me to focus my attention or the conditions that trigger the most egregious performance issues. 2. AUDIT OF CODEBASE AND RUNTIME PERFORMANCE I will leverage Unity's built-in script and rendering profiler, as well as 3rd-party software, to analyze the project and identify the top performance bottlenecks. I will document current performance metrics. 3. CONFIRMATION OF PRIMARY FOCUSES I'll provide a written report of my initial findings and list the issues that are within my power to address along with expected improvements. I will confirm with the team which issues they wish me to focus on. 4. PERFORM OPTIMIZATIONS I'll address the identified performance issues--creating pull requests and merging fixes along the way. Should I have additional time within the contract period, I will continue optimizing by prioritizing issues with the highest potential gains. 5. SUBMISSION OF FINAL REPORT I'll submit a final report of the improvements I've made. This report will detail the code changes, the cause and fix for the issues, and the before and after metrics of each fix. I'll write up any additional recommendations. FAQ Q. Do you fix games written in engines other than Unity, such as Unreal, CryEngine, or Gadot? A. Most of the optimization techniques we utilize are applicable across many game engines, but our core expertise lies in Unity.
