THE CAETA PEACEFUL EUTHANASIA CERTIFICATION

Pet euthanasia is among the most common procedures in veterinary medicine.
However, it is surprising to note that most veterinary professionals are not
formally trained in this area. To address this gap, the CAETA Peaceful
Euthanasia Certification program has been designed to provide outstanding
education in companion animal euthanasia. The main objective of this program is
to enhance the overall experience of the pet, caregiver, and veterinary team
during the euthanasia process.

The instructors of the CAETA Peaceful Euthanasia Certification program are
highly experienced and knowledgeable in the field, and their expertise will
significantly alter how you care for dying pet patients and their loved ones.
This virtual veterinary certification program is unparalleled in its approach. 

Upon successful completion of the course and final exam, you will earn a
prestigious credential as a Certified Peaceful Euthanasia Veterinarian (CPEV,
for DVMs) or a Certified Peaceful Euthanasia Professional (CPEP, for other
veterinary professionals). Additionally, participants will accrue 10 hours of
RACE-approved continuing education credit (CE) recognized by the American
Association of Veterinary State Boards (AAVSB). 



The CAETA Peaceful Euthanasia Certification program caters to veterinarians and
veterinary staff. It covers a wide range of topics, including euthanasia
techniques, best practices, sedation protocols, anesthesia, and behavioral
euthanasia. By enrolling in this program, you will acquire the knowledge and

   build lasting EIE.

   Equine euthanasia is considered by many to be the most challenging type of

   them make it necessary for us to increase our skillset and ensure a safe and

   For generations, veterinary teams have assisted with the deceased pet
   aftercare of patients to facilitate the needs of pet owners. This module

   This module will outline the top 10 unique components to home euthanasia and

   In this module, students will explore the depth of the human-animal bond,
   learn new ways of supporting the bereaved client, and become more familiar
   with the stages of grief, including pathologic and complicated grief.
