HARVEST SEASON IS HERE! BRING HOME THE PURE FEEL OF FINNISH FOREST BERRIES

Ever heard of Finnish everyman’s rights? The freedom to forage and roam the
countryside allows for berry picking and endless outdoor enjoyment. To celebrate
harvest time, we picked eight designs inspired by Nordic nature. Expect
blueberry hues, apple aesthetics and even some vegan treats!


In the seasonal Moomin set for summer 2024, Moomintroll and Snorkmaiden have set
out to crush a whole bathtub's worth of currants under their paws.


MAKE MEMORIES WITH THE MOOMINS

Take a page from the Moominvalley residents' book – foraging is fundamental! In
Finland, it is made easy with the universal right to roam and enjoy nature.
Available for a limited time only, this seasonal mug captures the Moomin family
playfully preparing jam. Whether you are looking for bilberries, lingonberries
or cranberries, including an appropriately themed Moomin mug in the picnic
basket helps make the most of a trip to the woods.

The Japanese lifestyle brand Tokyo SAIKAI and Finnish designer Maija Puoskari
teamed up to create the Nuppu Junior series, including the cute cutlery set.


SET THE TABLE WITH BERRY TONES

Let the little ones pick! Does their favorite berry match the plate, bowl or
cup? Mealtime is made merrier with the Nuppu Junior tableware set. Blueberry
juice, strawberry compote and whipped lingonberry porridge – a fun Finnish
specialty – look all the more appealing in these stackable dishes made in Hasam,
Japan.

BERRY SWEET DREAMS

It's time to create a cozy haven for good sleep inspired by the serenity of
boreal forests! Known for their wealth of antioxidants, lingonberries were the
driving force for the Danish Tekla to create this Oeko-Tex certified pillowcase,
made of high-quality cotton percale sustainably just outside of Porto, Portugal.

What a perfect pairing! The Plunta candleholder is a contemporary creation by
the same Swedish designer who brought Fyr to life.


GOOD FOR SO MUCH MORE THAN JUST VITAMINS

Dubbed the Nordic superfood, forest blueberries have lent their hue to
Marimekko's beautiful candleholder. But why settle for less when you can go all
in? Designed by Carina Seth Andersson, the Fyr candleholder is best paired with
a homemade blueberry pie and vanilla sauce, much to the delight of summer
visitors.

Oh look, Oiva Toikka's Owlet has landed for a special visit. What do you reckon,
will it let out a gentle 'woop' or a sharper 'kiew kiew'?


HOO-HOO’S THERE?

While berries and mushrooms are most likely your main reason to venture into the
woods this time of year, it can also be worthwhile to gaze upwards – especially
if you hear faint hoo-hoo noises. If the tireless owl spotting does not bear
fruit, why not add a sense of woodland mystery to your home with Oiva Toikka's
glass birds, created with the utmost craftsmanship.

Who needs milk and eggs with vegan treats this tasty! Better yet, the
beautifully shot images do justice to the mouth-watering recipes.


WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY “TOO MUCH OF A GOOD THING?”

With all the fresh produce available, it's time to prepare the harvest season's
best plant-based sweet treats! Cozy Publishing's recipe book Vegalicious
Cheesecakes is fresh out of the oven, including over 80 recipes by professional
vegan pastry chef Ilse R. Pinner. Thanks to the easy-to-follow instructions,

A FINNISH CLASSIC FOR MUSHROOM FORAGERS
