ABOUT THE YCSC

The Yorkshire Cyber Security Cluster is an initiative created as part of the UK
Cyber Security Forum to help businesses and organisations across the region to
collaborate and build a stronger standard of cyber security as part of a
knowledge exchange collective.

Bringing together recognised cyber security experts, academic institutions,
charities, local bodies and the police force, the YCSC works to reduce cyber
crime within Yorkshire and the surrounding regions.

OUR AIMS

SUPPORT THE GOVERNMENT'S COMMITMENT TO CYBER SECURITY

By building cyber security knowledge, skills and capabilities in the region, the
YCSC makes businesses more resilient to cyber attacks and the Yorkshire region

champion our very best and support those looking to grow.

given me a more rounded view of the technical issues around cyber security and

assistance."

FAQ

YOUR MOST COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS, ANSWERED.

Do I need to be a member to attend meetings?

Our meetings are open to anyone who wishes to attend. Membership is not
necessary, but if you wish to support regional activities and benefit from
sponsorship through the cluster please fill out our membership form.

I want to host a meeting at my venue, how do I do this?

The YCSC has no fixed abode, with members of the security community invited to
host our meetings. Through this, we hope to find ourselves in new and exciting
places each month. If you would like to host a YCSC meeting at your venue then
contact us. Please note that this isn’t an opportunity to push your company or
your latest product, but we are always open to collaboration, guest speakers and
passionate individuals.

Prior events have been held in:

 * School halls
 * Army barracks
 * Universities
 * Conference Centres
 * Business Hubs
 * Chambers of Commerce
 * Policing Venues

How much does a meeting cost?

All meetings are free! All we ask is that you book your free ticket via
the Eventbrite page, this allows us to keep a track of numbers and organise
things effectively.

Where does the YCSC meet?

The cluster calls upon businesses from Yorkshire to host our meetings to bolster
ties with businesses all across the region. As such, our meeting locations
change monthly. Check our Eventbrite page for details on our next meeting.

How can I become a member?

There is no concrete membership structure within the YCSC, however, we welcome
all people and organisations to join us.

Please fill out our registration form and once completed you will be classed as
a member after attending 3 meetings.
