TRUMP ANNOUNCES NEW SOCIAL MEDIA NETWORK ‘TRUTHSOCIAL’ – HERE ARE THE DETAILS

Former President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday the Trump Media &
Technology Group will soon launch a new social media network called “Truth
Social.”

Truth Social is currently available for pre-order on the Apple App store and
will begin its Beta Launch in November for invited guests only, with the
nationwide rollout expected in “the first quarter of 2022.” The announcement did
not state if or when it will be available on Android.

Anyone interested in joining Mr. Trumps social network can visit
www.truthsocial.com to sign up for the invite list.

“Trump Media & Technology Group’s mission is to create a rival to the liberal
media consortium and fight back against the ‘Big Tech’ companies of Silicon
Valley, which have used their unilateral power to silence opposing voices in
America,” Trump Media & Technology Group stated in a press release emailed to
American Military News.

“I created TRUTH Social and TMTG to stand up to the tyranny of Big Tech. We live
in a world where the Taliban has a huge presence on Twitter, yet your favorite
American President has been silenced,” Mr. Trump said in a statement.

“This is unacceptable. I am excited to send out my first TRUTH on TRUTH Social
very soon. TMTG was founded with a mission to give a voice to all. I’m excited
to soon begin sharing my thoughts on TRUTH Social and to fight back against Big
Tech. Everyone asks me why doesn’t someone stand up to Big Tech? Well, we will
be soon!”

In early January, Twitter permanently suspended then-President Trump’s account
due to, “the risk of further incitement of violence.”

“After close review of review of recent Tweets from [Trump’s] account and the
context around them we have permanently suspended the account due to the risk of
further incitement of violence,” the company announced.

The social media giant later said that Mr. Trump will never be allowed back on
Twitter even if he runs for office again.

The decision to permanently ban Trump came days after a Jan. 6 protest turned
violent on Capitol Hill, prompting an evacuation and lockdown in the Capitol
building and leading to the deaths of four individuals.

In August, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) found that the January 6
storming of the United States Capitol was not organized by pro-Donald Trump
groups as part of a plot to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential
election.
