<p>A recent study by CNBC estimated that only 8% of US respondents currently have a positive view of cryptocurrency.</p>
<p><strong>While the same percentage reached 19% in March 2022.</strong></p>
<p>The market has been through a lot since then, with prices dropping, the Terra ecosystem crashing, and FTX filing for bankruptcy.</p>
<p>Changing directions:</p>
<p>Forty-three percent of American respondents to CNBC's "Pan American Economic Survey" said they had a negative view of cryptocurrencies, up from 25 percent nine months ago.</p>
<p>Support for the cryptocurrency category has shrunk to 8%, from 19%, while 18% of respondents feel neutral.</p>
<p>Despite the results, 24% of respondents admitted to having invested, traded or used cryptocurrencies in the past (up 6% from March results).</p>
<p>The percentage of those who have set aside some of their wealth in bitcoin or altcoins is 17%.</p>
<p>The growing criticism of the crypto market may be a result of the many negative events the cryptocurrency world has experienced throughout the year, from the collapse of Terra to the bankruptcy of FTX.</p>
<p>Former giants such as Celsius, Three Arrows Capital, BlockFi, and many others have filed for bankruptcy, while the global cryptocurrency market cap has fallen below $1 trillion.</p>
<p>The rise in negativity towards cryptocurrencies coincides with record low confidence in stocks.</p>
<p>Only 26% of respondents believe now is the right time to invest in stocks, which is the most pessimistic level in the 15-year history of the research.</p>
<p>While 51% think they should stay away from the market.</p>
<h2><span style="color:#d35400"><strong>Young people are the most supportive category:</strong></span></h2>
<p>A Bank of America survey estimated that 75% of American respondents between the ages of 21 and 42 believe it is impossible to achieve above-average returns relying solely on traditional financing.</p>
<p>While they believe that crypto should be one of the tools with which to diversify.</p>
<p>32% of senior citizens shared the same situation but prefer to invest their money in stocks.</p>
<p>While only 5% of those over the age of 42 have jumped on the crypto market bandwagon.</p>
