     POST COVID “HOW TO STAY WHEN AWAY”
     
     I traveled extensively pre Covid.
     
     This stay was one of a few post Covid stays I have had.
     
     From the moment I arrived until my departure I felt I was in a new
     experience where the design had clearly been focused on a safe, clean stay
     that says my comfort mattered.

     We really fought with ourselves whether to stay at this Marriott or the JW
     right down the street for a little more money. If you're in this situation,
     go with the Marriott. It is brand new and just as nice as the JW. Staff was
     so nice and helpful, there wasn't a glitch with any of the services we used
     from valet, bellman, concierge, front desk, everything was handle
     perfectly.

     It's impossible to get any room service. Could get nothing in the room
     until after 8:15 in the morning. Could not get any lunch served to the
     room. Can't just call for service. Have to use an app.

     MY NEW GO-TO AUSTIN MARRIOTT
     
     Lovely hotel. I've been to Austin many times and this is my first stay
     here. It might become my goto hotel for future visits. Right off at the
     beginning, I was very impressed with how a desk agent walked with me to the
     elevator to show me where it was and how to get to the various levels of
     the property. I felt very welcomed and cared for.
     
     The dual bar and restaurant on Lobby level are both great. The M Club
     Lounge is quite comfortable and usually quiet enough to get some work done.
     The gym was pretty good. The bar and pool level looked very nice but I
     didn't have time to enjoy on this trip.
     
     I stayed in the King Executive Guestroom. Very nice corner with an amazing
     view (although the view of Austin right now is mostly construction cranes -
     not Marriott's fault though!). The room was incredible and the auto opening
     drapes were a delightful surprise!

     HIRE MORE VALET
     
     Looking to get in and out in a reasonable time? Look elsewhere. Tried
     reaching valet an hour early to make it to strictly timed lunch
     reservations. No answer both at front desk or valet after multiple calls
     without answer. Otherwise it’s just a clean room to stay in. Nothing more.
     Good thing there are plenty of other options in the area!

     GREAT LOCATION, BEAUTIFUL BUT UNCOMFORTABLE
     
     We absolutely love the location of the hotel and the beauty of it all. The
     bars attached are fantastic, the pool area was nice & all of the staff was
     nice. My only complaint was the comfort or lack there of in their beds but
     mostly the pillows. This is a personal preference I’m sure but I personally
     need pillows to have support not just so empty & soft that your head sinks
     to the bed with zero support. I tried both feather and foam pillows & both
     disappointed. I would still recommend this hotel to others but If I choose
     to stay again in the future I’ll be bringing my own pillows.
