NCCIH has worked with the CDC to include questions on complementary health approaches in this survey periodically. * Learn more about NHIS survey data for 2017, 2012, 2007, and 2002. * View publications using the NHIS data. NATIONAL HEALTH AND NUTRITION EXAMINATION SURVEY (CDC) National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES), conducted by NCHS, is a program of studies designed to assess the health and nutritional status of adults and children in the United States through interviews and physical examinations. NHANES includes data on dietary supplement use. * April 2011 Data Brief: Dietary Supplement Use Among U.S. Adults Has Increased Since NHANES III (1988–1994) (CDC) NATIONAL HOME AND HOSPICE CARE SURVEY (CDC) The National Home and Hospice Care Survey (NHHCS), conducted by NCHS, is a survey of U.S. home health and hospice agencies. It is designed to provide descriptive information on home health and hospice agencies, their staffs, their services, and their patients.
