MISSION STATEMENT

The main goal of the IOAA is to promote the growing interest in Astronomy and
related STEM subjects, especially through the general education of young people,
and enhancing the development of international contacts among different
countries in promoting Astronomy and Astrophysics in schools. It is expected
that, through events like the IOAA, more bright high-school students will be
eager to study astronomy at the university level to become the next generation
of astronomy and astrophysics professionals.




ANNOUNCEMENT

The next Event will be the 17th IOAA, to be hosted at Vassouras, Rio de Janeiro
state in Brazil between August 17-26, 2024. The official website for the event
is: www.ioaa2024.on.br. The deadline for pre-registration is 1st March.


The next Event for junior students will be the 3rd IOAA-Jr, to be hosted at
Kathmandu, Nepal between October 3-10, 2024.

The 16th IOAA, was held in Poland from 10th to 20th August 2023. For more

2nd IOAA-Jr, for the students under 16 years of age was held in Greece from 24th
