HOW TO ENTER

For new applicants (or those applying for a new programme)
Upload your evidence of vaccination status in your Enrolment Dashboard by 5:00pm
on Friday 11 February 2022.

For current students
Email a copy of your My Vaccine Pass (the one with the QR code)
to studentcentral@unitec.ac.nz by 5:00pm on Friday 11 February 2022. Put “My
Vaccine Pass” and your student ID in the subject line of your email.  Unitec
will verify your pass using the app provided by the Ministry of Health.


TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR ENTRY INTO DRAW TO WIN ONE OF 150 X $30 COUNTDOWN
VOUCHERS

1. Definitions

Competition: means the draw from Eligible Participants which will be carried out
within 10 working days of February 11 to win the Prize.

Disqualified Participants: means all Unitec employees and contractors and their
Immediate Families.

Eligible Participants: means enrolled or enrolling 2022 Unitec students who
provide their My Vaccine Pass, but excludes Disqualified Participants.

Immediate Families: include spouses, de – facto partners, grandparents, parents,
children, and grandchildren, whether by marriage, past marriages, remarriage,
adoption, co-habitation or other family extension.

Prize: means one of one of 150 x $30 Countdown Vouchers.

Unitec: means Unitec New Zealand Limited trading as Unitec Institute of
Technology.


2. Entry

2.1. Entry into the Competition is deemed to be acceptance of these Terms and
Conditions.

2.2. Entry into the Competition is limited to 1 entry per person.

2.3. No purchase is necessary to win or participate in the Competition.

2.4. Disqualified Participants must not enter into the Competition.

2.5. Unitec reserves the right to exclude any person from participating in the
Competition on reasonable grounds.

2.6. Unitec reserves the right to refuse to award the Prize to an Eligible
Participant  who Unitec decides (in its sole discretion) has violated these
terms and conditions, gained unfair advantage in participating in the
Competition or won using fraudulent means.

2.7. All Eligible Participant’s personal details must be valid and up to date
and will be held by Unitec and may be used for the purpose of the Competition
and for future promotion and marketing purposes in accordance with Unitec’s
Privacy Policy.

2.8. Personal information provided at the time of entry is presumed to be true.


3. Winning the Prize

3.1. Only the Eligible Participants who originally entered the Competition can
be awarded the Prize (Winners).

3.2. The Winners will be determined by Unitec who shall have a representative
for this purpose deemed to be the judge (Vivienne Merito).

3.3. The Judge’s determination of the Winner will be final, and no
correspondence will be entered into.

3.4. The Winner will be notified by email, phone (voice or text) using the
information from your registration. Where attempts to contact the Winner fail
(e.g. when the Winner cannot be contacted by phone after three attempts) the
Judge will select another Winner. If, after successful notification, the prize
is not collected within two months of being announced, it will be regarded as
forfeit. (Note: attempts to contact the Winner will be via individual calls to
any numbers provided at the time of entry).

3.5. The Prize is not redeemable for cash or transferable. No other family
members, friends, office associates or any other person will be able to collect
on the Winner’s behalf. In the event that the Prize becomes unavailable for any
reason Unitec may substitute a prize of like or equal value.

3.6. Where the Winner is required to claim the Prize in person, they must
provide valid and proper identification (e.g. driver’s licence, passport, birth
certificate). If the Winner is under the age of 18 years, their parent or legal
guardian must accompany the Winner or give their prior written consent to the
award of the Prize.

3.7. The Winner takes the Prize entirely at his/her own risk and indemnifies
Unitec in respect of any claim for any accident, injury, property damage or loss
of life that may occur in connection with the Prize. The Winner is responsible
for all insurance, tax or other costs that may be associated with the Prize.


4. Unitec Responsibility

4.1. Unitec reserves the right to amend, vary, extend or discontinue the
Competition at any stage, for any reason.  

4.2. Unitec takes no responsibility for any inability to enter, complete,
continue or conclude the Competition due to equipment or technical malfunction,
busy lines, inadvertent disconnection, Force Majeure or otherwise.

4.3. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unitec will not be liable for any
loss or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to direct or consequential
loss) or for personal injury as a result of Competition entry or winning the
Prize.
