REDUCING RECURRENT STROKE RISK

Gore study highlights long-term safety and performance
A stroke is a significant medical event for anyone. But imagine if you didn’t
know the cause. Around 25 percent of first-time ischemic strokes are of unknown
origin. Up to half of these patients are later diagnosed with a heart defect
called a patent foramen ovale (PFO). In March, The New England Journal of
Medicine published the long-term results from a Gore sponsored study showing the
role of our technology in repairing this defect and reducing recurrent stroke
risk.

Aerospace Electronics Technology Innovators Awards. An independent panel of
esteemed judges from the aerospace and defense community recognized Gore as a
gold honoree for the second consecutive year. The company’s PHASEFLEX®
Microwave/RF Test Assemblies were recognized in 2020.
