What is dYdX Foundation?


dYdX Foundation is a an independent not-for-profit foundation headquartered in
Zug, Switzerland. The foundation was founded in June 2021.

To support and grow the dYdX protocol ecosystem by enabling communities,
developers and decentralized governance.

How can I engage with dYdX?


You can engage by participating in community discussions, contributing to the
open-source code, trading on the platform, or participating in governance
decisions.

What security measures does dYdX take?


dYdX ensures security through rigorous auditing of its smart contracts, and by
continuously monitoring its systems for any unusual activity.

What is the DYDX token?


On August 3, 2021, dYdX Foundation introduced DYDX, a governance token that
allows the dYdX Protocol’s community to govern certain aspects of the dYdX
protocol. DYDX aligns incentives between traders, liquidity providers, and other
users of the dYdX protocol. DYDX enables a robust ecosystem around governance
and rewards – each designed to drive the future growth and decentralization of
the dYdX protocol.

What is the dYdX Ecosystem?


The dYdX Foundation is just one player in the expansive dYdX Ecosystem. It’s
important to highlight other key contributors that significantly impact the
ecosystem’s growth and functionality. These include dYdX Trading, the core
development team behind the dYdX Protocol; dYdX Grants, , the grant-making trust
entity responsible for administration of grants to dYdX contributors, and the
dYdX Operations Trust, an operational trust established to build operational
capabilities for the dYdX DAO at large. Beyond these formal entities, the dYdX
Ecosystem encompasses a diverse range of participants such as developers,
infrastructure providers, validators, community members, grantees, token
holders, investors, market makers, and traders, among others.
