WHY MINISTRY SUPPORT SERVICES?


Managing the day-to-day operations of a church can be extremely stressful,
time-consumingand sidetrack the ministry/pastoral staff from doing what your
congregation called and hired you to do.

That being, defining the ministry, vision and ensuring the Christian growth of
the congregation. Churches are coming under greater scrutiny and focus by both
internal and external authorities focused on administration, operations,
finances and fundamental employee rights.

These challenges create day-to-day conflicts for church leaders whose primary
focus is on the vision of the ministry.

As a ministry support consultant, it is my goal to support Pastors and the
ministry staff with their visions and missions by providing administrative and
operational assistance to them as they work to achieve their goals and
objectives for the church.

PITFALLS OF THE SMALL CHURCH BOARD

Without question, the small church has a number of advantages because of its
size. It possesses a strong sense of community where people mutually care for
one another and support each other in times of difficulty and crisis. There is
often a sense of authenticity as people know the strengthens and weakness of
each other so there is no need for pretense. The small church often has a
greater impact int he community as people become involved in activities. This is
also true of those serving in leadership.Because there is a close connection
between the leadership of the church and the people, the leadership is better
equipped to guide the church in ways that are relevant to the needs of the
people.
