VIRTUAL CLASSROOM





Thinking of buying a home? Our Get Ready for HomeOwnership Class will teach you
how to:

 * Select a lender
 * Determine what you can afford
 * Use your credit wisely
 * Distinguish between different types of loans
 * Understand home inspections and insurance
 * Identify special financing programs
 * Work with a real estate professional
 * Evaluate the pros and cons of homeownership

Classes are nine hours and open to the public. They are offered monthly and run
either three consecutive evenings from 6:00 – 9:00 pm or all day Saturday from
9:00 am – 6:00 pm, depending on the month. Refreshments are provided. Check the
calendar for upcoming classes ». See Agenda for more class information.

The class is $35 per person. Payment is due at the time of registration and
registration fees are nonrefundable.

Childcare reimbursement for Homeword’s classes. Homeword recognizes the value of
our classes and the sometimes difficult choices families face when deciding how
to pay for childcare in order to attend them. To help meet the needs of our
participants across Montana, we offer direct payments to parents to help cover
the cost of childcare during class. Reimbursement is available on a first-come,
first-served basis while funds are available. Please complete the Childcare
Reimbursement Application or call (406) 532-4663 x10 if you have any questions.

You are responsible to reschedule any classes missed. Classes fill up quickly so
be sure to call ahead to reschedule.

RESOURCES

Each person who successfully completes the entire course is provided with a
certificate that is required for many down payment assistance and other lending
programs for first-time homebuyers.

Homeword does not offer down payment assistance funds or loans. However, we are
a HUD Certified Housing Counseling Agency. Our instructors and counselors will
refer you to available down payment assistance options in the community. Click
