The TP league rebranded to Warcraft 3 All-Star League, but this is the only
change - same rules, same bracket, same legendary players. The group stage
already happened, but let's talk about it. Afterwards we will head into the
playoffs.

I did a quick prediction for myself (at the same time as the first group
gamesplayed out, but it did not influence any of my choices).
I got almost everything wrong in terms of matchups. The only upside are the
qualified players, which I almost nailed it.

Three days of hero snipe, creepjacks and insane micro have concluded. In the
end, the emporer once again underlined his undisputed position as the best
player in the world. Happy won the event with no maps lost and defended his
world champ title from Dreamhack 2021. The community got the event it deserved
and celebrated Warcraft 3 for three amazing days.

This weekend, RCADIA RARA Land powered by Being Esports kicked off in Hamburg,
Germany. The $10,000 tournament is the biggest of its kind this year and the
first offline event aswell. On Friday, players from every rank battled for 4
tickets to the playoffs in the offline open bracket qualifier. The once who
prevailed get the chance to face the likes of Happy, Sok, Hitman and Foggy. Who
will be crowned the inofficial world champ at the end of the weekend? On Sunday
we will find out, but for now this article gives an overview of all the action
that happened on day 1.

The retirement of Infi and TH000, arguably the greatest human players, left a
large void in the Human alliance. When they retired from playing full time, it
seemed like the Humans had no leading light to learn from.  The Asian circuit in
particular didn't have a Human that people could learn from. 

Some valiant names have risen vying for the crown for the best Human player,
names like
Sok, ThundeR, and Fortitude among others, but had debatable results.  Stalwarts
like HawK, ToD, and Blade were playing Human, but had either retired from
tournaments, or were not serious about playing in tournaments (plus 4v4 became
popular). But there was one player that was putting consistent results on the
table and soon ascended the throne in both rankings and the players he started
beating. That bastion of the Human race in Warcraft 3 is known to us as 
Chaemiko.

In this interview with him, I dive into understanding who he is, how he thinks
about competition, what it means to be the Human player that all look towards to
perform against the giants, and his thoughts on the game that we love to play
daily, Warcraft 3.

When I first saw the picture in this articles' cover image, I had a good
chuckle. An entire 2012 photoshoot of Neo in his early twenties: cigarette in
hand, beanie on head, a mix of melancholic and goofy poses and - of course -
WarCraft 3 on the monitor.

While creating the cover I was about the scrap the image, replacing it with one
of the more up-to-date pictures of Neo. While a humorous picture, I did not find
it representative of the current Neo... at first glance. Upon further thought, I
realized it shows exactly who he is: an incredibly passionate person who through
thick and thin (emphasis on the latter, unfortunately) has stayed and fought for
the game and community he loves through the years.

With the announcement of RARALAND, an upcoming offline event organized by Neo,
Frost Giants reveal of Stormgate and a packed tournament schedule to cast, Neo
had a busy week last week. Yet, when I asked if he would indulge us with an
interview, he answered with a prompt "Hell yeah!". So, please, go ahead and
