We’ve participated in Cities Power Partnership events that helped us draw together councils from across the state to explore innovative climate solutions. The only way councils can effectively tackle climate change is by working together and the Cities Power Partnership helps us do that across Australia. NORTHERN ALLIANCE FOR GREENHOUSE ACTION (NAGA) A fantastic program for councils to be a part of. Having a reliable source of information available for those who need it is very valuable and key to accelerating Australia’s local energy transition. CITY OF NEWCASTLE NSW Participating in the Cities Power Partnership, combined with being on-track to reach our 2020 target has raised councillor and staff awareness of important emissions reduction projects. Ongoing support through the program is incredibly vital to maintaining Council’s momentum and meaningful action on climate.
