DELOITTE LAUNCHES THINK TANK TO SHAPE FUTURE GOVERNMENTS


THE NEW INITIATIVE BY DELOITTE AIMS TO BRING TOGETHER LEADING EXPERTS IN
GOVERNMENT AND DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION TO ADVANCE CRITICAL SECTORS

Deloitte Middle East has officially unveiled the “Future of Government”
think-tank. The initiative seeks to bring together top experts in government
affairs and digital transformation to chart a course for the future in key areas
such as finance, human resources, procurement, technology, and decision-making.

Muhannad Tayem, who leads the Government & Public Services division at Deloitte
Middle East, said, “This think-tank aims to support governments in the region to
channel their vision into practical pathways and solutions to improve the lives
of their citizens. This, in turn, requires developing new ways of working, to
re-imagine how processes and policies need to evolve with the accelerating rate
of technological advancement, which will have a far-reaching impact on society,
the economy, and the planet.”

The “Future of Government” think-tank is set to leverage Deloitte’s wealth of
expertise, serving as a catalyst for the adoption of innovative emerging
technology solutions, each tailored to the unique needs of different government
entities. Through this endeavour, the think-tank aims to develop a roadmap that
empowers governments to embrace new working methods, fostering continuous
innovation and progress.



Faisal Darras, a partner at Deloitte Middle East, highlighted the pressing need
for governments in the region to lead in the adoption of the latest technology
and innovations that genuinely enhance the lives of their citizens. He remarked,
“Our government clients in the region want to lead the way on the latest
technology and innovations that make a difference to their citizens’ lives. At
Deloitte, we look to provide solutions that enable government entities to
extract the maximum value from emerging technologies and by enhancing their
cloud computing capabilities, which helps grow their efficiency and
productivity.”

The “Future of Government” think-tank is expected to become a catalyst for
transformation in public services, harnessing the power of innovation,
technology, and strategic thinking to drive positive change. The initiative
aligns with the growing importance of digital transformation and its role in
shaping the future of governments and the well-being of their citizens across
the Middle East region.

Deloitte Middle East’s commitment to fostering collaboration and innovation
within the public sector positions the “Future of Government” think-tank as a
driving force in enhancing the effectiveness and responsiveness of governments
in the modern age. This initiative promises to pave the way for a future where
governments are at the forefront of technological advancement, ultimately
improving the lives of the people they serve.
