ABOUT DANSK MJOD ODIN'S SKULL MEAD

A Nordic Honey Wine, also known as Mead, indeed a rare gem in the world of
spirits. This is a splendid blend of honey wine, sour apple juice and spiced
with hops and cinnamon. Let's take a moment to talk about this intriguing Mead
shall we? The oldest alcoholic beverage known to man, Mead is created by
fermenting honey with water. Additional flavors can be added to this base
concoction, resulting in a wide range of mead varieties. With typical alcohol
percentages ranging between 10%-20%, it's a delightful compromise between wine
and spirits. Now you might wonder how is mead different from dessert wine. Well,
they are indeed quite similar, both offering sweet flavors, but while dessert
wines derive their sweetness from grape sugars, mead finds its essence in the
natural sweetness of honey, bestowing upon it a unique, complex character. And
now let's return to our distinguished Odin's Skull. Odin, usually depicted
one-eyed and long-bearded, is the Norse God associated with knowledge, victory,
healing, and wisdom... but also death and sorcery. This brew is prepared to
honor Odin’s name: “Master of inspiration and fury.” As Odin’s Skull is brewed
with 100% natural, and completely unfiltered apple juice there may be sediment
at the bottom of the bottle. To maximize all flavors and aromas please pour

Rich and decadent honey wine balanced by the addition of sour apple juice and
cinnamon.


SUGGESTED SERVES

Can be enjoyed on its own, served chilled or warm. Can be used to great effect
in cocktails as a substitute for sweet vermouth, simple syrup, or merely as a
component to add a bit of sugar and spice to warming, cold weather drinks. The

PRODUCTION NOTES

Dansk Mjod uses a traditional recipe from around 1700 of just honey and water
for brewing the mead. But, they then blend it with sour apple juice and
cinnamon. All ingredients are 100% natural. Gluten free.

   One of the most delightful meads I have ever had the pleasure of drinking. As
   my title says it's like an apple pie if you distilled it into alcohol. My
   personal recommendation for consumption is to warm it slightly and and sip
