Over twenty years, there have been so many things that impacted our signature
style at Billy Reid. From the early years on Bond Street in New York, to
returning to our hometown in Florence, Alabama, we’ve grown and adapted with
every new experience. Whether it was working toward runway shows at NYFW or now
throwing our own runway show right here in Florence at Shindig, unveiling new
fall fashions has always been special to us.

celebrations of our 20th Anniversary Shindig Revival than with this beautiful
tintype photo taken of Billy during the weekend. Whether you are local to
Alabama, travelled from wherever it is that you call home, or even to those of
you watching and supporting the brand from afar - we cannot thank you enough.
Without the people and stories behind what we do, it’s just clothing. The
inspiration from those who have touched our lives, the history of what’s around
us, and the impact we want to leave on the world through our label is what makes
this so special. The man that Billy is cannot be rightfully explained but rather
felt - it is seen in the way he treats others, the things he believes in, and

We are so incredibly thankful and humbled for this year’s 20th Anniversary
Shindig Revival to be featured for @vogue. “The community energized me,” Reid
said in an interview about his early instincts to gather people Florence. “We
have this unbelievable legacy of music, we have the [Frank Lloyd Wright-
designed] Rosenbaum House, and we have this incredible downtown that was
preserved. I believe that if we could get people here they’d have a good feeling
about it. It was different than what other folks were doing, and people would
talk about it.” Reid’s annual party puts Florence on the fashion map, but the
region has been a destination for the musically inclined since at least the

We’re so excited to celebrate Shindig weekend with y’all. As we kick off this
weekend‘s festivities, our hearts and prayers continue to be with those that
have been impacted by the recent hurricanes that hit Florida. A portion of
proceeds from the workshop will support the American Red Cross’s relief efforts
for Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton.

Repost from our friends at @wwd : @Billy_Reid has a lot to celebrate this fall.
Not only is the designer marking the 20th anniversary of his eponymously named
label, he’s also bringing back his popular Shindig festival after a five-year
hiatus. Shindig, a fashion, music, food and art event Reid hosted annually in
his hometown of Florence, Ala., until it was forced to pause because of the
pandemic, will also serve as a celebration of his two-decade milestone with a
runway show featuring his newest collections as well as a few of his greatest
hits. While he’s ready to celebrate now, Reid’s road to 20 was hardly without
its pitfalls. After abandoning the idea of being a football coach, he enrolled
at the Art Institute of Dallas where he studied fashion design and
merchandising. After school, he cut his teeth at Reebok where he helped the
